The main purpose of training of a competent specialist is to gain a solid basic knowledge on a specialty, on the basis of which student can learn independently, improve his professional level, solve tasks and show knowledge of a particular discipline, independently applying his knowledge and skills in practice.

Abstract: the main purpose of training of a competent specialist is to gain a solid basic knowledge on a specialty, on the basis of which student can learn independently, improve his professional level, solve tasks and show knowledge of a particular discipline, independently applying his knowledge and skills in practice. Keywords: students' individual work (SIW); distance learning website.

At Karaganda State Medical University, together with practical classes (PC), there is an increase in the total amount of SIW in educational process. The university has a specially developed distance learning website - moodle.kgmu.kz. To perform distance individual work, student uses account details of his corporate email at KSMU, the login and password with the help of which he can log into the site, use educational materials, training aids, sign up for the course of required discipline and complete tasks. If you do not have a corporate email address, you can register yourself and create your own account.

In order to effectively implement students' distance individual work at the university there are all necessary conditions, such as the appropriate educational and methodological and regulatory database, computer rooms, library collection, Internet access, teaching consultations [1].

The aim of the research: to identify positive and negative aspects of the introduction of students' distance individual work into the educational process for students in a medical school [2].

Materials and methods: a questionnaire was disseminated among the 3rd-year students of the specialty «Dentistry» and the 4th-year students of the specialty «General medicine». The respondents were asked to estimate the advantages and disadvantages of distance learning. The analysis of the results has shown that to perform distance work using tasks, interpretation of the results of laboratory and instrumental methods of examination, tests, survey, questionnaires, forums, glossary is the most convenient form for bachelors; the importance of interaction of students with other students of their own and other groups through e-mail and forums throughout the learning process has been noted.

The 3rd-year students noted the opportunity of accumulating knowledge, skills improvement during work, as well as opportunity of replacement of passive fulfillment of tasks with cognitive active performance, the formation of their own opinions. The 3 rd- and 4th-year students also noted as positive qualities the opportunity of performing of SIW in their free time, without teacher's participation, independently, with the formation of self-education skills; strict observance of deadlines for the completion and delivery of tasks by the teacher and availability of feedback.

As disadvantages, the following aspects were noted by the respondents: to complete SIW, student should already be familiar with the scientific foundations of independent academic work, have certain computer skills, as well as good technical equipment [3]. The lack of practical training, absence of permanent control over students and inability to present knowledge in the verbal form were also classified as disadvantages [4].

Conclusions: the introduction of students' distance individual work into educational process allows to improve the quality of education by using modern tools, the Internet and

to create integrated educational environment, improve convenience of task performance and level of educational potential of the society, as well as the quality of education. However, students' distance individual work requires a variety of individual psychological conditions, inasmuch as strict self-discipline is necessary, and its result directly depends on independence and consciousness of a student. Progress in the field of information transmission at a distance with the use of computer means of communication has allowed to put on a qualitatively new level of educational services [5].
