1. Introduction

With the development of the new era, the qualities of translation talents should reach to a higher level. In colleges and universities, traditional education, which paid great attention to translation knowledge, must be changed. Quality education focuses on the all-round development of students and aims to cultivate future application-oriented talents from a variety of aspects. It can help to promote the effectiveness of translation teaching and realize the connotative improvement of translation talents.

2. Quality Education of Translation Talents in the New Era

There are many qualities translation talents need to acquire, so a multi-dimensional system of quality education can be constructed from the aspects of language, cross-culture, inter-discipline, technology and morality.

2.1. Quality Education of Language

The essential task of a translator is to bridge the gap between two languages, and the quality education of both the two languages is the most important. Generally speaking, effective language education relies on a comprehensive system of listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation. These courses should aim at providing knowledge as well as skills. Meanwhile, for translation talents, the competence of source language and target language needs to be treated in parallel. Without a solid foundation of one's native language, foreign language cannot be acquired in a smooth way. The teaching materials should cover almost every social area such as politics, economy, culture and art, so as to help the students to develop themselves in the orientation of their future career. Teachers should actively implement heuristic and discussion teaching to ensure that students have enthusiasm of learning language and translation. Language practice is a major part in talents training process and enough application, including in-curriculum and extra-curriculum, should be available during years of study. Translation teachers need to guide students to learn the methods of how to comprehensively analyze source language and how to fluently express in target language. Gradually, students can grasp the applicative language and translation skills needed in their future career.

2.2. Quality Education of Cross-culture

Translation not only requires language skills but also cultural quality. To avoid communicative obstacles

between two languages, translators should have a better understanding of the cultures of both source language and target language. More importantly, they need to comparatively master the explicit and implicit cultural factors. The cultivation of cross-cultural consciousness should be integrated into the whole process of translation education. The courses, such as cross-cultural communication and comparison of Chinese and foreign cultures, can be set as the core ones. Teachers can try to draw students' attention by showing vivid examples. For example, "dog" refers to different images in China and western countries. Without the recognition of the differences, improper and impolite communication scenes would appear. There are two wider range of functions of the cross-cultural quality education. It can successfully enable translation talents to build up national culture confidence, and respect and tolerate other cultures. Colleges and universities should help translation students to have broader horizon and mind so as to become qualified translators or interpreters.

2.3. Quality Education of Inter-discipline

Translation is a field of application and translation education has the property of inter-discipline. A good translator should be an expert of his or her applicative fields. Basic social and natural science knowledge is indispensable in translation. In the curriculum construction, the courses of science and technology translation, economic and trade translation, engineering translation, legal translation, news translation, film and television translation, etc. should be set in order to develop students' practical skills. Learning the knowledge of specific disciplines can help to achieve accuracy and coherence of language expression. Translation major students should choose one or two fields to study further according to their own interest. Due to the professional study, students have an exact orientation of future career, which can prove the effectiveness of the Outcome Based Education (OBE). Colleges and universities can combine translation major with the school featured discipline to support the construction of the first-class major. For instance, under the background of "One Belt, One Road" initiative, the exchange of trading needs various inter-discipline knowledge in order to promote cooperation and negotiation. The interdisciplinary quality education can quicken the paces of translation or interpreting talents' professionization and marketization.

2.4. Quality Education of Technology

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) in the new era, technology has become a necessary quality for translation talents. The course related to translation technology should be constructed as a compulsory one including at least 32 periods, which makes students grasp the knowledge of machine translation, search, terminology, memory vault, project management, etc. and put the theory into practice. SDL Trados, MemoQ, Adobe RoboHelp, LingoTek,

etc. are useful software or platform for translation students. During the teaching process, teachers need to emphasize not how to teach the "step-by-step" operation of the software or platform but how to cultivate the technological quality of future talents. The work of language service industry requires efficiency and accuracy, so students will not meet the demand of the field if they do not accept the technological education. Colleges and universities should cooperate with the translation technology enterprises, combined with the order-style training mode, in order to deepen students' understanding of the industry and promote students' ability of application. If necessary, translation and interpreting laboratories should be constructed at schools. The creative and innovative talents should keep up with the development of modern technology and contribute to the improvement of social productivity.

2.5. Quality Education of Morality

The professional morality deserves emphasis in the education of translation talents who take on an important mission of activating political, economic and cultural communication. The work of translation bridges the gap among different civilizations and plays a special part in promoting the rapid development of human society. The quality of morality includes national identity, social responsibility, personal values, etc., and it should stand before the above-mentioned four qualities. The moral standards of translation service industry can be acquired and strengthened during the years of undergraduate and graduate study. For example, students of translation major should learn the courses of fine traditional Chinese culture, and grasp the essence of it such as harmony, charity, loyalty and respect. The establishment of moral values can determine the translation content and process. Translation is recreation and may directly affect the ideology of the readers or listeners. Besides, carefulness, strictness, enthusiasm, patience, commitment, etc. are of great importance. In order to achieve the three translation principles of faithfulness, expressiveness and elegance, translators should take serious consideration of each sentence and even each word and revise over and over again. Translators or interpreters must not adopt such measures as free deletion or omission and random translation. Without a hard-laboring process, translation may be useless. Therefore, the education of morality is crucial to translation talents.

3. Summary

In the new era, the necessity of quality education makes translation talents play a more complex role in language service and international communication. Based on the training of the above-mentioned five qualities of language, cross-culture, inter-discipline, technology and morality, translation education can step into a new developing stage and provide more qualified and all-round developed talents, which will definitely affect every aspect of rapid social development in a positive way.
