Abstract: Nietzscheana plutenkoi, gen. et sp. nov. is described from the Ananyevka River of Chernye Mountains in Nadezhdinsky District of Primorsky Region. The description is supplied with color photos and distinguishing characters.

New animal looks similar to a big Eumecocera callosicollis (Breuning, 1943), but has a peculiar structure of tarsal claws, which is unknown in any other Saperdini, so a new genus must be described. Though it is described on the base of a single beetle the number of characters show that it is not just a teratic specimen. The middle leg's external claw has a long, thick basal appendage, and foreleg's internal claw has slight spur-like bifurcation.

Nietzscheana, gen. nov. Figs 1-3

Type species: Nietzscheana plutenkoi, sp. n.

Internal claw of fore leg (Fig. 2) with slight bifurcation forming a spur. External claw (Fig. 3) of middle leg with a long, thick basal appendage. It is flattened and 2 times shorter than the claw. Both hind leg claws simple, not bifurcated, without appendages. Prothorax about cylindrical, without dense long pubescence; pronotum without callosities or tubercles; elytra long, without humeral and dorsal carinae; elytral apices rounded.

Nietzscheana plutenkoi, sp. n.

Figs 1-3

Body totally black including antennae and legs; it seems to be originally covered with short fine gray setae that are partly lost now; head with dense short and sparse long gray hairs; frons with scattered distinct punctation, with very fine erect short setae; genae more than 2 times shorter than lower eye lobe; eyes big, deeply emarginated, occupy most part of the lateral side of the head; antennae a little longer than body; 4th antennal joint shorter than 1st, about 1.5 times shorter than 3rd and distinctly longer than 5th; 2nd joint about as long as wide, strongly widened apically; prothorax about as long as basal width; a little wider posteriorly than anteriorly, slightly evenly widened near middle; pronotum without callosities, with elongated central elevation near base; pronotal punctation moderately dense, fine, distinctly rarefied at both sides of the middle; elytra about 2.5 times longer than basal width, with two elongated raised areas near scutellum; with rough not dense punctation up to the middle, it becomes fine, slightly rugged posteriorly. Elytral microsculpture is represented by small uneven punctation merging in wrinkles. Legs long; 1st joint of hind tarsus as long as two other joints combined; 1st joint of middle tarsus 1.5 times longer than 2nd, 3rd joint about as long as 2nd; 1st joint of forelegs a little wider and longer than 2nd, which is same as 3rd; last abdominal sternite, pygidium and postpygidium rounded; hind margins of postpygidium and last sternite with dense long pale setae; body length: 16.5 mm, width: 3.8 mm.

Material. Holotype, male with the label: "Russia, Primorskyi reg., Black Mts., Ananjevka riv., 8.08.1991, A. Plutenko leg." - collection of Zoological Museum of Moscow University. Etymology. The genus name of the new taxon is dedicated to the great German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. The species is named in honor of A.V. Plutenko, who discovered such a beautiful beetle.
