Summary. A new species, Corydalis arkhyzica Mikhailova et Shilnikov (sect. Corydalis), is described from Western Caucasus, the Karachayevo-Circassian Republic, the Pkhiya Pass at the junction of Abishir Akhuba and Arkasara ridges. The species differs from C. teberdensis A. P. Khokhr. by lemon-yellow (not white) corolla and shorter style, from C. paczoskii N. Busch by lemon-yellow (not purple-rose) corolla and shape of bracts, from both of them by thick (not thin) leaves.

Аннотация. Описан новый для науки вид Corydalis arkhyzica Mikhailova et Shilnikov из секции Corydalis. Материал собран на Западном Кавказе, в Карачаево-Черкессии на перевале Пхия на стыке хребтов Абишир-Ахуб и Аркасар. От C. teberdensis A. P. Khokhr. отличается лимонно-желтым (не белым) венчиком, более коротким столбиком, от C. paczoskii N. Busch - лимонно-желтым (не пурпурно-розовым) венчиком и формой прицветников, от обоих видов - листьями плотной консистенции.
Introduction
In the flora of Russian Caucasus the genus Corydalis is represented by 3 tuberous sections - Dac-tylotuber Rupr., Radix-cava Irmisch and Corydalis. The latter section includes 4 species in Russian
Caucasus: C. caucasica DC., C. tarkiensis Prokh., C. paczoskii N. Busch, C. teberdensis A. P. Khokhr. The forest species C. caucasica is widespread throughout the Caucasus, the other three species occur locally. Bolshoi Utrish cape in the Krasnodar Territory,
C. teberdensis occurs in bushes at Teberda River valley (Mikhailova, 2012, 2017). In the spring of 2022,
D. S. Shilnikov collected one specimen of Coryda-lis sp. on the Pkhiya Pass; the vegetative state of the specimen did not allow us to reliably determine its taxonomic affiliation. We repeated the trip to Arkhyz area in the spring of 2023 and collected Corydalis material at the same place; it cannot be attributed to any of the known species by the totality of characters and is described here as a new taxon for science.
Corydalis arkhyzica Mikhailova et Shilnikov, sp. nov.
Herb perennial 12-15 cm tall, tuber rounded, 7-23 mm in diam. Stem with 1 scale and 2 cauline leaves. Leaves biternate, with lobed segments. Inflorescence terminal, racemose, 8-10-flowered. Bracts herbaceous, broadly ovate, margin entire, 10-13 x 6-8 mm. Pedicels 6-7 mm, fruiting ones 10-12 mm. Sepals not known. Corolla lemon-yellow, apex of inner petals blackish purple, 20-21 mm long, 2-3 mm wide at the base. Spur 10-13 mm long. Nectary does not reach the spur end by 4-5 mm. Lower petal with sac-like bump at the base. Capsules linear-oblong, 13-15 x 3 mm, style 1.5 mm. Seeds black, shiny,

Holotype: "Russia, Karachayevo-Circassian Republic, Zelenchuk distr., above Arkhyz vill., Pkhiya Pass at the junction of the Abishir-Akhub and Ar-kasar ridges, subalpine meadow near the patches of melting snow, 2200 m a. s. l., 43°34'50''N, 41°04'31''E. 15 V 2023. M. A. Mikhailova, A. V. Sochivko" (Fig. 3) (LE [LE 01150403], iso - LE [LE 01150404, LE 01150405]; PALE [PALE 020515]).
Paratype: "Russia, Karachayevo-Circassian Republic, Zelenchuk distr., above Arkhyz vill., Pkhiya Pass, in the river gorge Pkhiya, subalpine meadow, 2200 m a. s. l., 43°34'50''N, 41°04'31''E. 27 IV 2022. D. S. Shilnikov" (PALE [PALE 011367]).
Distribution: Karachayevo-Circassian Republic. Endemic to Western Caucasus. Belaja-Laba floristic district (Menitsky, 1991).
Affinities. The new species differs from the related C. teberdensis by lemon-yellow (vs. white) corolla and shorter (1.5 vs. 3-3.2 mm long) style; from C. paczoskii by lemon-yellow (vs. purple-rose) corolla, bracts broadly ovate, margin entire (vs. wedge-shaped, palmately incised), from both of them by thick (not thin) leaves (Table).

Травянистый многолетник 12-15 см выс. с округлым клубнем 7-23 мм в диам. Стебель с 1 чешуевидным и 2 стеблевыми листьями. Листья дважды тройчатые, с дольчатыми сегментами. Соцветие - верхушечная кисть, 8-10 цветков. Прицветники травянистые, широкоовальные, цельнокрайные, 10-13 мм дл., 6-8 мм шир. Цветоножки 6-7 мм, при плодах 10-12 мм дл. Чашелистики неизвестны. Венчик лимонно-желтый с темно-бордовым пятном на верхушке внутренних лепестков, 20-21 мм дл., в месте прикрепления цветоножки 2-3 мм шир. Шпорец 10-13 мм дл. Нектарник не доходит до конца шпорца на 4-5 мм. Нижний наружный лепесток с мешковидным бугром при основании. Коробочки ли-
нейно-продолговатые, 13-15 мм дл., 3 мм шир., столбик 1,5 мм дл. Семена черные, блестящие, слабосетчатые, 1-1,3 мм в диам., карункула спиралевидная (Figs 1, 2).

Родство. Новый вид отличается от близкородственных видов: от C. teberdensis лимонно-желтым (а не белым) венчиком и более коротким (1,5 мм, а не 3-3,2 мм дл.) столбиком; от C. paczoskii лимонно-желтым (а не пурпурно-ро-
зовым) венчиком, широкоовальными цельно-крайными прицветниками (а не клиновидными пальчаторассеченными); от обоих этих видов -плотными (а не тонкими) листьями (Table).
