Annotation: In this article talking about the undoubted advantages of using information computer technologies (ICT) in English lessons, and, on the other hand, the problems arising from their application in practice are analyzed.

Keywords: modern technique, teaching foreign languages, innovative technologies, lesson.

Today, it is quite clear that it is training in the information-educational environment that significantly increases the efficiency of education in general and learning a foreign language in particular. However, one of the problems is that paradoxical situation, when, as a result of a gigantic gap between generations in the level of computer literacy, the teacher first began to feel his inferiority in front of the students. The information space, which schoolchildren and students owning modern computer technologies are actively exploring, opens up tremendous opportunities for students to acquire knowledge and skills that are often, unfortunately, inaccessible even to a teacher who has worked for many years at school or in high school. It should be noted that in the market of electronic educational products there is a large assortment of compact discs with various electronic resources, claiming to be the ideal language courses. However, it is well known that a multitude of electronic educational resources carry knowingly false knowledge, distort the essence of the phenomena being studied, and are especially dangerous because they teach young people to indiscriminately use unverified data when working independently. It is extremely important control by the teacher, who has the appropriate training and is able to teach students to carefully select information. It is quite natural that the teacher experiences significant psychological discomfort, realizing that young people are much better oriented in the new information environment. Moreover, it is very difficult to keep the attention of students born in the age of informatization using exclusively traditional teaching methods. In the context of changing the content of education, ICT open up tremendous opportunities to increase student motivation and develop strong language skills. Computer tutorials have many advantages over traditional teaching methods. They allow you to train different types of speech activity and combine them in different combinations, help you understand language phenomena, form linguistic abilities, create communicative situations, automate language and speech actions, and also ensure the implementation of an individual approach and the intensification of students' independent work.

Evaluating multimedia programs, secondary school teachers and university professors note that e-learning tools provide tremendous assistance to the AP

teacher in the development of such a complex skill as the perception of foreign language speech by ear. A variety of audio materials in conjunction with video applications create a unique opportunity for the formation of the ability to understand spoken English. In addition, the built-in English-Russian and Russian-English dictionaries are a good base for expanding lexical inventory. And finally, lexical and grammar exercises are presented in an attractive form for young people. The lack of exercise in grammar and vocabulary can be considered their superficiality, the lack of careful study of certain linguistic phenomena.

Another example of successful student engagement in the learning process is the use of an interactive whiteboard. An electronic touchpad with the appropriate software successfully replaces a lot of additional equipment - a DVD player, an audio recorder, a TV set - and is capable of turning any foreign language office into a dynamic learning environment. Today, the most versatile learning tool is the SMART Board electronic interactive whiteboards. Electronic interactive whiteboards are an effective way to integrate electronic content of educational material and multimedia materials into the learning process. The lesson material clearly emerges on the screen of the interactive whiteboard and aims each student to active fruitful activity. Pre-prepared thematic texts in English, teaching and testing exercises, colorful pictures of various nature, material English multimedia discs, audio, video materials are used to introduce or enhance the material of the lesson, repetition or consolidation of lexical units and grammatical structure of language, control and self-control of knowledge. There is no doubt that schools and universities should be equipped with the most modern technical teaching aids, the indisputable advantages of which were described in detail in the article.

Interactive whiteboard allows you to work without using a keyboard, mouse and computer monitor. All the necessary actions can be done directly on the screen with a special marker or even a finger. The teacher is not distracted from the lesson to carry out the necessary manipulations at the computer. This has a positive effect on the quality of the presentation of educational material. Thus, using the interactive whiteboard, it is possible to organize the student's permanent work in electronic form. This saves time, stimulates the development of mental and creative activity, includes all students in the classroom. Unfortunately, we again have to return to the problem of equipping educational institutions with modern technical means. It should be recognized that the absence or insufficient number of interactive whiteboards (one board for the whole school) in most schools and universities can in no way facilitate the introduction of ICT. Consequently, schoolchildren and students continue to learn English through textbooks that do not involve the use of information technology at all. It is also completely inexplicable that every year many schools purchase English textbooks in large quantities, which in no way reflect the current requirements for teaching foreign languages. It is an absurd situation when the teachers of multi-disciplinary programs learn multimedia programs in the courses of the FPC, and when they return to their school, they often find themselves in the office of a foreign language

in which there may not even be an electrical outlet for an ordinary player. Moreover, the teacher is faced with the fact that it is necessary to purchase certain textbooks, the content and quality of which are in no way connected with the goal of enhancing students' language skills. I would like to emphasize that it is not only the huge chasm between loud slogans about the modernization of education and the real state of affairs that is alarming. An even greater concern is caused by the general decline in the level of knowledge among schoolchildren, who freely use all the modern advances in information technology available to them. The author of the article works both in high school and in the system of pre-university education. With full responsibility it can be stated that not only knowledge, but even the level of development of students has drastically decreased due to the use of ICT. It turned out that equipping schools with the latest technology, the constant holding of lessons in computer labs led to obvious negative consequences. This is manifested in the fact that students are not able to correctly formulate their thoughts both orally and in writing. Young people have lost the ability to speak clearly in their native language, most often their speech is a set of fragmentary, logically unrelated, ugly speech formations. Having learned to use electronic resources and "download" ready-made texts for term papers, students have forgotten how to study and analyze materials, have lost all interest in independent creativity. As for the English language, of course, the availability and abundance of authentic materials can only please the teachers. But teachers of English are faced with the fact that students prefer rather dubious in quality films and programs in English. Practically without reading books and having received unlimited access to low-grade products of mass culture, adolescents with confidence demonstrate a primitive and vulgar speech, both in Russian and in English. It is impossible to deny that the communicative orientation in the study of language is key, but to achieve the effectiveness of this approach should not be facilitated by the mechanical reproduction of speech patterns, but more time-consuming by consciously restructuring thinking on the reality of the language being studied.

ICT proficient English teachers can usefully combine traditional methods and electronic tools in their lessons as needed. We should strive not to turn our studies into a series of spectacular presentations and endless glimpses of vivid pictures on the screens of monitors. In no case, technologies should not overshadow the fact that they, as a matter of fact, were created - purposeful and fruitful communication between a teacher and a student under the competent guidance of a teacher. Today, the task of an English teacher is, on the one hand, to inculcate in students the skills of acquiring solid knowledge, and, on the other hand, to teach young people to intelligently master the necessary information. So, the rational use of the virtually limitless possibilities of modern technical equipment in English classes should contribute to the formation of language competencies, the development of creative thinking and, most importantly, the desire for continuous improvement.
