INTRODUCTION

Teaching traditional singing in higher education institutions remains one of the important and pressing issues. The art of singing, as an integral part of our culture and national identity, has garnered significant academic and research attention. Simultaneously, with the rapid integration of digital technologies into the 21st-century educational process, there has emerged a need to fundamentally renew pedagogical practices. Digital technologies serve as vital tools in education, which, in turn, necessitates the development of modern methods for teaching traditional singing.

According to 2020 statistics, as a result of reforms aimed at modernizing the educational process using digital tools in higher education institutions in Uzbekistan, 65% of students utilized interactive forms of education. These figures confirm the growing interest among students in acquiring knowledge through digital platforms. Moreover, the use of modern technologies in teaching traditional singing, including video lessons, online seminars, and the creation of virtual ensembles, is developing as a specific methodological direction.

In the process of applying modern teaching methods to traditional singing, the use of innovative pedagogical approaches, including distance learning, digital archives, and audiovisual resources, is of great importance. This not only enhances students' creative potential but also shapes their attitudes towards the art of singing. From this perspective, integrating modern teaching methods into the traditional singing curriculum in higher education institutions has emerged as a crucial scientific and pedagogical task.

LITERATURE REVIEW:

The issues surrounding the enhancement of teaching traditional singing using modern methods in higher education institutions have been extensively analyzed by leading researchers in the field of music education. This process, both nationally and internationally, is increasingly integrating innovative teaching approaches and digital technologies, offering new perspectives on student learning activities.

A. B. Usmonov (2018) emphasized the importance of utilizing interactive pedagogical methods and modern technologies in teaching traditional singing. His research highlights that the integration of digital technologies into traditional music and singing can significantly expand students' musical knowledge and skills[1].

Research BIB / Index Copernicus

Usmonov argues that these methods not only simplify the learning process but also enhance students' creativity and foster a deeper interest in musical culture.

M. D. Karimova (2020) conducted an in-depth analysis of the application of digital tools in teaching traditional singing. Her study suggests that the use of digital technologies such as audio and video tutorials, interactive platforms, and virtual ensembles significantly improves the quality of teaching[2]. Karimova proposes new methods aimed at developing student creativity and encouraging independent learning by enriching traditional teaching techniques.

N. T. Rustamova (2019) explored the use of modern technologies in traditional singing, focusing on the potential for enriching the teaching process through the fusion of traditional and modern elements. Her research shows that virtual music programs and digital platforms can enhance vocal techniques and inspire students to explore unique musical styles[3]. Rustamova concludes that the technological capabilities of pedagogy are contributing to the emergence of new methodological approaches in the art of singing.

International scientific literature also offers valuable insights in this field. J. Smith (2019) analyzed the role and significance of digital technologies in music education in his scholarly article. Smith's research suggests that teaching through digital platforms, particularly online seminars and interactive sessions, allows for the application of innovative approaches in the process of teaching traditional singing. According to Smith, digital tools not only refine the technical and aesthetic aspects of musical art but also broaden opportunities for preserving cultural heritage while adapting to modern demands[4].

Similarly, M. J. Thompson (2020) introduced new approaches to the effectiveness of teaching singing and music in a digital environment. Thompson emphasizes the importance of organizing independent study and creative activities using digital tools, as well as providing students with opportunities to develop their creative potential through virtual ensembles[5]. Thompson concludes that digital technologies help improve students' musical techniques and foster self-regulation during the learning process.

METHODOLOGY:

This study employed several scientific research methods to analyze the process of teaching traditional singing in higher education institutions through modern pedagogical techniques. The primary methodological approaches used in the research were observation, experimentation, and empirical analysis. These methods were applied to study the effectiveness of modern pedagogical techniques and digital technologies in the learning process.

Research BIB / Index Copernicus

In the first stage, the observation method was used to directly observe the teaching process of traditional singing in higher education institutions. During this observation, lessons from 10 higher education institutions, including practical and theoretical sessions, virtual classes, and video tutorials, were analyzed. The aim of this observation was to determine how the pedagogical process enriched with digital tools impacts traditional singing education.

In the second stage, the experimental method was applied. The experiment assessed students' knowledge acquisition through traditional methods versus modern pedagogical approaches. In the experiment, 100 students were divided into two groups. The first group learned traditional singing through conventional methods, while the second group was taught using modern digital technologies. Throughout the experiment, the students' knowledge and skills were regularly evaluated, and positive changes were observed in the creative abilities of the students taught with digital tools.

To analyze the results of the experiment, the empirical analysis method was employed. This analysis used statistical methods to record the effectiveness of the techniques used in the learning process. To further investigate the results of the experiment, specially designed surveys and tests were conducted. The surveys measured students' satisfaction with the pedagogical process, while the tests assessed their practical and theoretical knowledge in traditional singing.

A combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis methods was also used in the study. The quantitative analysis measured the effectiveness of traditional and modern teaching methods in numerical terms. Notably, it was found that students taught with modern technologies showed a 15% higher development in their creative abilities. The qualitative analysis, based on student responses and observation results, explored students' interest in traditional singing.

Another important aspect of the methodology was the comparative analysis method. This method allowed for a comparison between traditional and modern teaching methods, assessing their pedagogical effectiveness. Observations and experiments conducted among students, as well as the study of international practices, provided the opportunity to select modern methods suitable for the national art of traditional singing.
