MODELING OPERATING COSTS IN SORTING STATION

ABSTRACT

This article is devoted to the issues of modeling the operating costs associated with the processing of wagons at a sorting station. A description of the model of operating costs in the processing of transit wagons is given, taking into account the elements of the time spent by the wagons.

Keywords: sorting station, time spent by wagons at the station, operating costs, expense rate, mathematical modeling.

INTRODUCTION

Operating costs are the most important element of railway transport due to high production, price level for transportation, quality of the transportation process and quality of transportation services. Streamlining operating costs is key to improving the efficiency of railway stations, including sorting station.

The quality of work of any sorting station is determined by one of the possible options for the technology of work, in which the operating costs for processing wagons will be minimal [1-10].

Evaluation of the quality of the marshalling yards is carried out according to the criterion - the minimum average time spent by a transit wagon with processing (hereinafter referred to as transit wagons) [1-4, 9, 10]. Compliance with the standard of time spent by a transit wagon at the sorting station plays a special role in minimizing the costs associated with the processing of wagons [1-8]. Therefore, when modeling the value of operating costs, it is necessary to take into account all the elements of the time spent by wagons at the sorting station [1, 2, 4, 9, 10].

MATERIALS AND METHODS

Many researchers have dealt with the modeling of operating costs at a sorting station, but they used a different set of parameters [6-8, 12-14]. For example, E.A. Sotnikov [7] notes that in order to calculate the operating costs associated with the processing of wagons at a sorting station, it is necessary to analyze the processing

time in the station's parks, waiting for disbandment and formation. He suggests, in order to determine the monthly operating costs in the reception park, describe the action of these elements using the formula

where tpr — processing time of the composition in the reception park, h; tWiasb — waiting time for disbandment of the composition, h; Cw—h — the present value of one wagon-hour; cmron — monthly salary of all employees of one group of inspectors; Ndismm — accordingly, the number of dismantling trains in the reception park and wagons in the compositions of these trains; x — number of train inspectors.

At the same time, formula (1) does not take into account the time cost by such elements as securing and fencing the train in the receiving park and waiting for the composition to be processed upon arrival.

A.A. Svetashev [6] proposed empirical formulas for calculating operating costs in the sorting park of the station

Thus, despite the uniformity of approaches to calculating operating costs at a sorting station, the parametric base used is very different.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

Modeling operating costs requires a corresponding mathematical description at each step of the executable technological process.

According to the parameters of the DO-24 VTs reporting form [11] and scientific works [1, 2, 4], we introduce the following designations, which include the elements of the time spent by transit wagons:

u— number of the type of wagon processing, u = [1..U], for example, a set of operations for receiving and processing wagons in the reception park (RP) (u = 1), disbanding (u = 2), accumulation (u = 3), the formation (u = 4), departure at the departure park (DP) (u = 5);

v — the number of the enlarged sequence of the operation of the technological process, v = [1...V ], for example, anchoring and fencing (v = 1), and waiting for the processing of the composition in the RP (v = 2), treatment of the composition in the RP (v = 3), pending disbandment (v = 4), arrival (v = 5), thrust (v = 6), dissolution (v = 7), settling (v = 8), waiting to form and rearrange (v = 9), formation and rearrangement (v = 10), securing and fencing, and waiting for the processing of the composition in the DP (v = 11), processing of the train in the DP (v = 12), providing the train with traction (v = 13), providing the train with brakes (v = 14), waiting for departure (v = 15);

x — operation number, as part of the enlarged sequence of operations, x = [1... To determine the operating costs of a sorting station for a certain period, it is necessary to enter the time of the period, the average value of the number of disbanded and formed trains per day by the system and their length in wagons, etc.

Therefore, we introduce the following notation:

Ni and mj - accordingly, the number of arriving trains to disband (Ni, i = [1.../]) and wagons in compositions (mj, j = [1...J ]) these trains;

Nl and mk - respectively, the number of formed trains (Nl, l = [1...L]) and wagons in trains ( mk, k = [1...K ]) these trains;

mh - the number of wagons participating in the accumulation process on the track of the sorting park (h = [1...H ]);

C - accumulation parameter;

ew_h - expense rate of 1 car-hour;

In addition, operating costs for the processing of wagons at the sorting station are associated:

1) with remuneration of employees;

d - number of the department involved in the processing of wagons, d = [1...D], for example, management of the organization of transportation (d = 1), management of logistics, cargo and commercial work (d = 2), carriage management (d = 3), locomotive operation department (d = 4), etc.;

CONCLUSION

Many scientists have been involved in modeling the operating costs associated with the processing of wagons at sorting stations, but the sets of parameters they used differ significantly from each other. Therefore, to model the operating costs at the stations in this scientific work, the parameters of the DO-24 VTs reporting form, which are currently used on the railways of the CIS countries, were used.

Proposed model based on mathematical description (4)-(15) includes the stages of processing car flows for all processes, i.e. assessment of all costs by type of economic activity of each component involved in the processing of wagons. In addition, the developed model makes it possible to reliably analyze all the costs of processing transit wagons at a sorting station.
