METHOD OF TEACHING A SELECTIVE DISCIPLINE IN THE PROSTHETIC DENTISTRY DEPARTMENT I. Horbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University (Ternopil)
The introduction of a new model for the organization of the educational process - European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) has changed the methodology of educational and professional preclinical training of doctors. The principal difference of the discipline design system «Modern technologies of solid-cast prosthetics» was structuring it's into sections and the introduction of credit scorings as a unit for measuring student's educational load. However, in spite of the absence of alternative trends in the principles of the Bologna process, this program succeeded in adapting and preserving years of developed own achievements [1].
The purpose of teaching the selective discipline «Modern technologies of solid-cast prosthetics» is to achieve the objectives of the discipline «Prosthetic dentistry», which are established on the basis of the training of a doctor-dentist in the specialty of «Dentistry» in accordance with the block of its content modules and is the basis for constructing the content of this selective course.
The main objective of the study of the selective discipline «Modern technologies of solid-cast prosthetics» is to familiarize English-speaking foreign students with modern types of non-removable orthopedic constructions. Assimilation of this discipline sets the foundation for the study of Prosthetic Dentistry, involves integration with these disciplines and the formation of skills to apply the acquired knowledge in the process of further training and professional activity [2,3].
The main tasks of the study of the selective discipline «Modern technologies of solid-cast prosthetics» are the deepening of knowledge about the functional anatomy, biomechanics, physiological features of the organs and tissues of the tooth-jaw apparatus; expansion of knowledge on contemporary views on the etiology and pathogenesis of defects of solid tissues and partial defects in dentition; analysis of the patterns of clinical course of partial loss of teeth; improvement of diagnostic skills and differential diagnostics; various defects of hard dental tissues and partial dental rows defects; deepening of knowledge about modern methods of orthopedic treatment defects of hard tissues of the teeth and partial defects of dentition; formation of the analytical approach to the individual choice of the method of orthopedic treatment of defects of hard tissues of the teeth and partial defects of dentition; improving the skills of orthopedic treatment of defects in hard tissues of the teeth and partial defects in dentition using modern technology; deepening of knowledge about mistakes and complications during orthopedic treatment of defects of hard tissues of the teeth and partial defects of
dentitions and improvement of skills of their prevention and elimination [4,5].
According to the requirements of the educational and professional program, students must know: functional anatomy of the dental and maxillofacial apparatus; occlusion factors; basic methods of patient examinations; indications for replacement of partial dentition defects; indications, contraindications for the treatment by non-removable and removable dentures; impression materials, plastics and alloys of metals for the manufacture of non-removable and removable dentures: types, purpose and use of equipment; teeth preparation technique; techniques of impressions taking; the technology of making non-removable prostheses; technology for the manufacture of removable dentures; clinical stages of manufacturing non-removable and removable dentures; materials for permanent fixing of non-removable dentures; modern methods of making removable dentures; modern methods of manufacturing nonremovable dentures. Be able to: identify the main syndromes with partial defects of dentition and conduct differential diagnosis; planning the examination of a patient with partial defects of the dentition in the clinic of prosthetic dentistry; interpret the results of clinical and special (additional) research methods; conduct differential diagnosis, formulate a preliminary clinical diagnosis; define the tactics of conducting (treatment) of a patient in the clinic of prosthetic dentistry; to propose a plan for preparing the oral cavity for prosthetics; explain the methods of preparing the oral cavity for prosthetics; demonstration of taking models of dental rows and prosthetic beds; to interpret the general principles of treatment, rehabilitation, prevention of partial defects in dentition; explain the biomechanics of the bridge dentures; explain the clinical and laboratory stage and the manufacture of bridge dentures; analyze mistakes and complications of irreversible prosthetics; perform fixation of the bridge dentures; to estimate a forecast of treatment of partial defects of dental rows by non-removable dentures; identify typical clinical signs of partial loss of teeth in patients requiring the manufacture of partial removable dentures; assimilate indications and contraindications to the use of partial removable dentures; explain the biomechanics of a partial removable dentures; apply different designs of a partial removable dentures; explain the clinical and technological stages of the manufacture of a partial removable prosthesis; demonstrate the methods of taking anatomical and functional impressions by different type of impressions materials; demonstrate the checking and casting process of a partial removable dentures; demonstrate correction of partial removable dentures; analyze mistakes and complications in all stag-

es of partial removable dentures manufacture; estimation of prognosis of patient prosthetics by partial removable dentures [6,7,8].
Individual work of English-speaking foreign students involves the obligatory conducting of albums for self-training, which outlines the content of the main provisions of the topic and tasks in the drawings and diagrams form. Assimilation of each subject of the credit is controlled by practical classes, where the student is awarded grades on the 4-point (traditional) scale, which are converted into rating scale scores, which encourages students to study systematically during the education year. The evaluation of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, determined by the ultimate goals of studying the program, is accomplished by adding to the sum of the points of the current score of achievement for the
execution of individual tasks, and the form of final control is the score [9,10].
The absence of specialized English-language literature, which corresponds to the contents of the curriculum of selective discipline «Modern technologies of solid-cast prosthetics» for the fourth year foreign students of the Dentistry Faculty, prompted the authors to publish a textbook on a selective course «Aesthetic aspects of prosthetic design» [11,12].
The development of orthopedic dentistry is aimed at improving methods of treatment to improve the effectiveness of providing dental care. Therefore, the knowledge and skills acquired by English-speaking foreign students in studying the discipline «Modern technologies of solid-cast prosthetics» and is a necessary component of the formation of professional competencies of a modern doctor-dentist.

В статт представлено особливост впровадження новоТ моделi оргашзаци навчального процесу - бвропейськоТ системи трансферних кредилв (ESTC) в навчальний процес. Принциповою вщмшшстю такоТ системи проектування програми дисциплши «Сучасш технологи суцтьнолитого протезування» стало структурування ТТ на роздти та введення залтових кредилв як одиниц вимiру навчального навантаження студента.
Серед дисциплш, як викладають на кафедрi ортопедичноТ стоматологи ДВНЗ «Терноптьський державний медичний ушверситет iменi 1.Я. Горбачевського МОЗ УкраТни» за новим навчальним планом передбачено вивчення англомовними студентами IV курсу вибiрковоТ дисциплши «Сучасш технологи суцтьнолитого протезування». Викладання дисциплши проводиться англшською мовою та передбачае лекци, семшарсьш заняття, самостшну роботу студенев та завершуеться залтом.
Знання i вмшня, як набувають англомовш шоземш студенти при вивченш дисциплши «Сучасш технологи суцтьнолитого протезування», яка спрямована на детальне вивчення технолопчних аспемчв виготовлення ортопедичних конструкцш, е необхщною складовою формування професшних компетентностей лтаря-стоматолога.

МЕТОДИКА ПРЕПОДАВАНИЯ КУРСА ПО ВЫБОРУ НА КАФЕДРЕ ОРТОПЕДИЧЕСКОЙ СТОМАТОЛОГИИ Гасюк П. А., Демкович А. Е., Росоловская С. А., Воробец А. Б., Радчук В. Б., Беденюк О. А. Резюме. В статье представлены особенности внедрения новой модели организации учебного процесса -Европейской системы трансфертных кредитов (ESTC) в учебный процесс. Принципиальным отличием такой системы проектирования программы дисциплины «Современные технологии цельнолитого протезирования» стало структурирование её на разделы и введение зачётных кредитов как единицы измерения учебной нагрузки студента.
Среди дисциплин, которые преподают на кафедре ортопедической стоматологии ГВУЗ «Тернопольский государственный медицинский университет имени И.Я. Горбачевского МЗ Украины» по новому учебному плану предусмотрено изучение англоязычными студентами IV курса выборочной дисциплины «Современные
технологии цельнолитого протезирования». Преподавание дисциплины проводится на английском языке и предусматривает лекции, семинарские занятия, самостоятельную работу студентов и завершается зачётом.
Знания и умения, которые приобретают англоязычные иностранные студенты при изучении дисциплины «Современные технологии цельнолитого протезирования», которая направлена на детальное изучение технологических аспектов изготовления ортопедических конструкций, является необходимой составляющей формирования профессиональных компетенций врача-стоматолога.

Abstract. Article presents the specifics of the introduction of a new model of the organization of the educational process - European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) into the educational process. The principal difference between such a design systems of the discipline «Modern technologies of solid-cast prosthetics» was structuring it's into sections and the introduction of credit scorings as a unit for measuring student's educational load.
Among the disciplines studying at the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry in I. Horbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University, the new curriculum provides study of selective discipline «Modern technologies of solid-cast prosthetics» for the 4th year of English-speaking students. Teaching of discipline is conducted in English and provides lectures, seminars, individual work of students and ends with credit scorings.
Knowledge and skills acquired by English-speaking foreign students in the study of the discipline «Modern technologies of solid-cast prosthetics», which aims at a detailed study of the technological aspects of the manufacture of prosthetic constructions, is a necessary component of the professional competence of a dentist.

ОПТИМ1ЗАЦ1Я ВИКЛАДАННЯ ЦИКЛУ РЕВМАТОЛОГИ В СУБОРДИНАТУР1 ДВНЗ «1вано-Франк1вський нацюнальний медичний ушверситет» (м. 1вано-Франк1вськ)
Ревматолопя являеться одним iз найважливших роздшв внутршньоТ медицини, включае до 85 рiз-них нозолопчних форм. Вона е обов'язковою складо-вою подготовки субординатура, зважаючи на те, що кожна четверта людина впродовж життя звертаеться до ревматолога через наявшсть захворювання рев-матолопчноТ патологи.
Завданням циклу ревматологи на останньому кура е поглиблення теоретичних та практичних знань щодо ревматолопчних патологш iз позицш до-казовоТ медицини, набуття студентами практичних навичок iз дiагностики, терапи та профтактики най-поширешших профшьних захворювань, формування у студенев основ ключного мислення. У свт акаде-мiчноТ медицини це досягаеться через рiзнi прийоми навчання: активну участь у кл^чних обходах, роз-борах, практичну роботу з хворими, на теоретичних семшарах та конференщях, опрацювання рекомендовано! лп"ератури, пошукову та анал^ичну роботу в штернел, розв'язання тестових завдань та ситуа-
цшних задач [1]. При цьому навчальний процес мае носити творчий та шзнавальний характер, сприяти активiзацiТ розумовоТ та творчоТ дiяльностi студенев, виховувати штерес до майбутньоТ професи.
Навчальною базою для занять на ци^ ревматологи в 1ФНМУ е обласне ревматолопчне вщдтення на 50 лiжок, у якому за рш лтування проходить до 1200 хворих. У перший день циклу необхщно донести до студенев загальну шформащю про специ альшсть, и актуальшсть, характер та проблематику, мкце ревматологи серед шших розд^в внутрш ньоТ медицини, розпов^и про основу, структуру та проблематику спещальносл, ефектившсть лтуваль-но-профшактичних заходiв, складнощi в робот ревматолога, охарактеризувати природу та сутшсть, осо-бливост дiагностики та лтування ревматолопчних хворiб, тощо.
