Н.И. Пирогова и участниками которого были многие авторы этого выпуска.

(PREFACE)
This issue of the journal continues a series of annual thematically selected materials on the history of ancient pedagogical culture. Like the previous one, this issue includes scientific articles, which allows the reader to consider a wide range of opinions belonging to representatives of various research schools, as well as to initiate an interdisciplinary field for scientific discussions.
The theme of the issue is "Medical Education in Antiquity". The issue consists of three parts and brings together articles on the ways of accumulating and transferring medical knowledge in the space of the ancient city. The city in ancient times was a space of institutionalization and professionalization, where the ideas, practices and experience of medical care were intertwined in a complex relationship. The history of any city can be told as a story of the balance between sickness and health, which was achieved through the activities of the great medicine teachers (Hippocrates, Galen, Zeno of Cyprus, etc.). about physical and mental illnesses, their causes and cures have changed along with the changing world, forming a bizarre kaleidoscope of traditional and alternative spheres of medical education.
The following questions are covered in this issue: medical education and ancient mythological history, the pedagogical aspect of ancient body care, diseases and methods of educational therapy, the great teachers of medicine, their educational texts and/or the medical schools they founded, the theory and practice of studying medicine in the ancient world, features of the philosophical and pedagogical consideration of the medical landscape of Antiquity. This issue is conceptually linked to the first academic seminar on the history of pedagogical culture organized by the Department of Humanities of the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University (November 8, 2021; grant from the Russian Science Foundation, project No. 18-78-10001). Many of the seminar participants contributed to this issue.

Wie auch die vorhergehende Ausgabe enthält sie originale Forschungen, die dem Leser eine breite Palette an Meinungen von Vertretern verschiedener wissenschaftlicher Schulen und Richtungen sowie ein interdisziplinäres Feld für wissenschaftliche Diskussionen präsentieren lassen.
