There are the essential problems of modern domestic management and service industry such as management consulting, which can be considered as one of the tools for solving these problems. Consulting of management can be seen not only as a way to improve the functioning of the organization, but also an important factor in the formation of competitive advantages compared to other organizations. Modern management consulting is able to open up new economic opportunities for all market participants by developing for them practical advice and solutions to critical issues. But is it enough known? Many companies are experiencing a long-term crisis that could eliminate by only one specialist consultant.

MANAGEMENT CONSULTING AS AN INSTRUMENT OF SOLVING CNALLENGES OF RUSSIAN COMPANIES

Abstract: There are the essential problems of modern domestic management and service industry such as management consulting, which can be considered as one of the tools for solving these problems. Consulting of management can be seen not only as a way to improve the functioning of the organization, but also an important factor in the formation of competitive advantages compared to other organizations. Modern management consulting is able to open up new economic opportunities for all market participants by developing for them practical advice and solutions to critical issues. But is it enough known? Many companies are experiencing a long-term crisis that could eliminate by only one specialist consultant.

Аннотация: Рассматриваются проблемы современного отечественного менеджмента и такая сфера услуг, как управленческий консалтинг, который можно считать одним из инструментов решения этих проблем. Консалтинг в сфере менеджмента можно рассматривать не только как путь на улучшение функционирования организации, но и важным фактором формирования конкурентных преимуществ на фоне других организаций. Современный управленческий консалтинг в состоянии открыть новые экономические возможности для всех субъектов рынка, разрабатывая для них практические рекомендации и пути решения критических проблем. Но достаточно ли известен владельцам компании такой путь решения их проблем? Многие компании переживают многолетний кризис, который мог бы устранить в кратчайшие сроки один лишь специалист-консультант.

Today, university graduates are already trained skilled managers, but all of them face the same problem. It is almost impossible to get a job in the specialty. And at the same time there is a lot of "manager" vacancies, but employers put a completely different, always different meaning into the word "manager" . Typically, such a vacancy hides the position of the seller, administrator, cashier and so on, although the universities give knowledge in completely different areas of this specialty. Finally, graduates go to work in completely other areas of activity.

Many employers do not realize the need to implement a management system in their organization and do everything by intuition, that is why the concept and meaning of such a profession as a "manager" is absolutely unclear for them .

This is just one problem of people now engaged in the management field. The quality of Russian managers is another alarming issue. And it doesn't mean that our universities are preparing low-quality specialists. The reason arises from the problem that was shown above. There are few professionals in Russia who have management experience in real conditions of a market economy. For graduates without experience, without practice, it is practically impossible to master such knowledge and skills. And it is impossible to implement new and effective management principles. We need a radical revision of the business philosophy, as well as a change in the staff psychology (especially managers) focused on growth of personal potential and the improvement of their skills.

Now there are no theoretical and methodological bases of management in practice in our country. Of course, no one denies that the principles of foreign management may not be applicable in Russia, and before introducing innovations, it is very important to adapt them to the features of the mentality and business culture of the Russian people. But the fact of having this base and not being interested in it is, on the one hand, a problem, and on the other hand, one of the ways to solve these challenges. The introduction and use of the principles of management could be the key way to the succeed in many organizations, and it is necessary to use the services of management consulting to make this implementation successful and simply. A qualified specialist, the consultant manager will draw conclusions and find solutions to problems by discovering the sources of problems in the organization, if he can carefully monitor, study the specifics of the organization, functioning systems, channels of information transfer. An outside specialist can accurately detect it and solve many problems with the help of the expense of his knowledge. This method of solving organizational problems is effective due to many factors. Firstly, we must confess there is the absence of subjective approach, a consultant has less bias than the owner of the organization. Secondly, this activity is occupied by a specialist directly related to this area and used experience. And in reality management issues in the organization are handled by a person whose specialty is related to the main activity of the organization (for example, in the training center - the teacher, in the bank - the financier). Thirdly, the organization as an element of the economic system can not exist without interaction with other elements of the business environment, for example, with a consulting agency.

As the world practice shows, management consulting is one of the most effective tool for generating new management technologies, new management methods and running business in the current situation of a constantly changing external environment.

The development and necessity for management consulting are due to the same factors. Everything begins with the complication of the business environment. For instance: rapid scientific and technological progress, reduction of the life cycle of goods, changing conditions of the economy, property rights, etc.

All these forces make the entrepreneur to create competitive advantages in various fields of activity, including the system of company management, =} increasing the demand for management services. The development of management consulting helps managers of various enterprises overcome crises, survive, retain job places , improve productivity and improve content of their output and the output of their subordinates.

Sooner or later any company is experiencing a crisis of its development, which consists of using new sources of efficiency in strategic work, creating new competitive advantages, more complex staff motivation, a new client organization. However, managers are not able to do this properly. Realizing this, business owners turn to the services of external consultants.

It is possible to solve a number of economic, social and ethical problems of the company, from qualitative selection of personnel, development of management decision-making schemes, development of unique strategy, mission, general planning, motivation of personnel and organization structure with the help of professionally and effectively used management consulting. All this ultimately leads to positive dynamics of the overall economic performance of the organization (improving overall performance, improving productivity, increasing profits, reducing staff turnover, increasing demand, etc.).

In conclusion, it is important to note that management consulting is an indispensable aid to those organizations that see the need to use management principles to improve their business model and professional perspective on further development.
