LITERARY TRANSLATION - AND ISSUES REFERRING TO THE PROCESS Karimova Z.A.

Karimova Zaynab Abduamitovna - Teacher, DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES THROUGH FACULTIES, PHILOLOGY FACULTY, GULISTANSTATE UNIVERSITY, GULISTAN, REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN

Abstract: a human being is differentiated from other creatures by its brain, way of thinking and speaking. All of these matters are done in order to have communication. However in this gross universe nationalities are too many. Here one phenomenal trick is needed to have close bond with other nationalities. The thing is that understanding the certain language processes one procedure that is called translation. In this article the author coming from this evolutional point of view makes certain some noticeable features of translation. Keywords: inseparable, cultural, duppi, proverbs, conversation, customs.

Translation is inseparable part of national culture. There is no cultural civilization without this. As in all spheres, in turn translation has its own specific problems.

It is not the secret that every nation has peculiar lifestyle, customs and traditions. Uzbek nation is not apart from this phenomenon. For instance the usual manner of Uzbek people such as taking off the cap (duppi) and slapping palm of your hand with this, greeting by shaking hands with much strength, or the American way of conversation like putting your legs on the table in a folded order and to talk someone, moreover the Japanese way of saying no as follow instead of sturdy rejection they used to deny in a softer way and some others [1, 37].

At the same time with the customs and tradition there is also another way of life which simply says about the nation in general. It is the national meal, sweets and drinks of every country. The fun feature is that the dish which is considered to be the most delicate meal in a particular country might be accepted as not so much favourable. For example, the grocery turnip by Persian and Romans assessed as the food which have the highest portion of vitamin and other nutritious elements that is necessary for human health, besides that they even tend to write poems to highlight the considerable importance of that food. However the Greeks could never think about this food in that way [2, 85].

Therefore the interpreter should also take into account the customs and traditions of every nation. Because of the interpreter's curiosity to the history, lifestyle, culture and economy we become aware of these figures. The interpreter has to be very careful in order not to drop the most significant or rare occurring idea of the source material, also he has to think about the lexeme he is using while translating. The instance where most of the considerable parts and meanings of the source is missed may bring to break the normal form letting the idea to disappear. Even tiny error like word order can be the daunting issue because it may force to state the meaning which is far away from its original. In turn this may be the reason to loose literary effect of the translation. For instance in the following fairytale the certain problem occurred.

Shu payt Nodira bu so 'zni eshtib qolib shunday debdi.

Надира бросилась к отцу и сказала

Nodira rushed to her father and said.

Trust be told, in Uzbek mentality for girls rushing toward their father and even looking at their eyes is not admitted. From the translation the reader will have improper imagination about Uzbek girls.

We know that every language has its own word units, phrases and proverbs, of course to use them with their attached meaning requires a great comprehension skill. As in the following example:

Cholga shohi to 'n kiygizibdi. Он одел старику атласный халат. He presented him a satin robe.

Here the word "shohi to'n" is replaced with "satin robe", but this word gives the meaning of "dressing gown". The word "to'n" is better to be not translated, i.e. its meaning could be presented in brackets, because this word is national Uzbek cloth [3, 114].

Chol chanqovini bosish uchun daryo labiga suv ichishga boribdi. "Схожу-ка я реке и напьюсь " - подумал он. "I'll go the river and quench my thirst", he thought.

The above translations do not conside with the original. Because, the usage of direct speech instead of indirect one, besides that some words should not be translated as in the example "daryo labiga" "to the river" it can be replaced by the following "to the bank of the river", furthermore "chol" should not be translated as personal pronoun "he" and "он" in Russian it has got the equivalent in English as "old man". This method of translation is called lexeme altering in the given case the author did not use this approach.

To sum up the cases we find out in translation should be approached as the real issues. As it has been said above the translation is the bridge between nations and it serves to bound the souls of people with each other. One of its features is to introduce the culture treasure, custom and traditions of various countries.
