Annotation: The modern education system should form a holistic environment of knowledge, skills, as well as the experience of independent activity and personal responsibility of language learners. Nowadays, new modern system of teaching foreign languages, particularly English has been developed in Uzbekistan. The article reviews innovative methods of English language teaching and different techniques used in the teaching process.

Key words: teaching the foreign languages, English, educational Process, modernization innovations in education.

In modern society foreign languages is becoming an essential component of professional training. Experts in different fields interested in a high level of language proficiency, because it affects the successful solution of issues and professional growth. In many areas there is a need to establish contacts with foreign partners.

English has become an important language in the world. Teachers from second language learning countries are creating innovative methodologies to teach the language in the classroom effectively. To substantiate the statement, Pollock stated that teachers now rejoice multiplicity and open the doors of public schools to all children, despite their culture, socio-economic status or ability. As classroom setups have been changed, curriculum has been expanded to meet all students' needs and teachers are striving to help their students in their classroom to learn and develop their language learning process. Pollock believed that in order to be successful teachers, they need to incorporate different learning tools keeping in mind the effective teaching methods that are already in use. Acquiring English language has become a predominant factor for a nations' development as well as an individual's development. To improve the communicative skills of the learners, innovative teaching methodologies should be used or introduced to make the learning process interesting. Creativity is a prime factor of any student to develop his/ her lateral thinking in terms of learning a language. An English learning classroom should be created using interesting teaching methodologies to mesmerize and encourage students to learn the second language explicitly and implicitly. Second language acquisition has proved that child and adult learners have innate linguistic knowledge in a developmental sequence.

Over the long history of mankind, a great many different educational methods have been developed. Initially, all methods of teaching foreign languages were borrowed from programs designed to teach the so-called "dead languages" - Latin and Greek, in which almost the entire educational process came down to reading and translating. It was such a method, the foundations of which were laid by the

enlighteners at the end of the 18th century, that took shape by the middle of the 20th century under the name "grammar translation method".

At a certain stage of development can be implemented into the learning process different movies in a foreign language. Students are asked questions, the answers to which should be identified directly from watched videos. Within the communicative approach there is almost no simple reading and translation of texts. Most often, teachers organize some group discussion. One of the options is a creative answer to questions about the material covered.

Teachers are moving away from the traditional grammar and translation exercises. They use a variety of techniques and combine them with each other to achieve the desired result. Students use grammar knowledge to form conversational skills. Exercises involve listening, reading, writing, and so on.

Teachers of a foreign language have for a long time gained considerable independence in the choice of teaching aids and methods, in creative understanding of the content and ways of implementing program requirements. Recognizing the existence of various methods in the modern process of teaching a foreign language, it should nevertheless be noted that the leading position is occupied by methods and technologies based on a personality-oriented approach to teaching, which should:

❖ create an atmosphere in which the student feels comfortable and free;

❖ stimulate the interests of the learner, develop his desire to practically use a foreign language, as well as the need to learn, making it a real achievement of success in mastering the subject;

❖ affect the personality of the student as a whole, involve his feelings, emotions and feelings in the educational process;

❖ activate the student by making him the main character in the educational process;

❖ create situations in which the teacher is not a central figure; the student should be aware that the study of a foreign language is more connected with his personality and interests than with the methods and means of instruction set by the teacher;

❖ provide for various forms of work: individual, group, collective, fully stimulating the activity of students, their independence and creativity.

According to scientific calculations of national and foreign scientists, the term "method" has two basic meanings:

Analysis of the active system of organizing the foreign languages' learning shows that today's educational standards, programs and textbooks on foreign languages, particularly English do not quite meet the modern requirements, particularly use of advanced information and media-technologies. Education is still practiced on traditional ways. In all levels of educational system, organization of continuous learning of foreign languages, professional training of teachers and providing pedagogical process with modern educational-methodological materials are necessary.

Here, official acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decrees, enactments and social-political ideas of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, State Programs, decrees of Cabinet of Ministers, and other legislative and legal documents define the essence and significance of reforms in education.

On 10 December, 2012, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan issued Decree "On further enhancement of measures on foreign language learning system" (Uzbekiston Respublikasi Prezidentining "Chet tillarni urganish tizimini yanada takomillashtirish chora-tadbirlari tugrisida"gi Qarori, 11.12.2012, 240 (5660)-son). It is indicated in the Decree, that:

> "throughout the Republic, learning foreign languages, particularly English, shall be started as games and verbal communication in the first year classes of secondary schools, and step by step alphabet, reading and grammar from should be taught from second year;
