Текст научной работы на тему «Introduction from the editor»

On September 22-24, 2016, several scientific events organized by the Institute and the University of Passau were held at the Law Institute of Siberian Federal University dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the German language DSG programme "German Law in German".

The DSG programme is one of the successful and unique educational projects of SibFU and the University of Passau, implemented with the support of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Within the framework of the programme, twice a year (during spring and autumn terms), specialists and research staff of German universities give classes to the students. Classes are taught in German on constitutional, criminal, civil and administrative law. Students of not only the Law Institute of SibFU, but also law schools of Barnaul, Kemerovo, Irkutsk and Omsk take part in the work of the sessions. The purpose of this programme is to provide Russian students with the opportunity to improve their knowledge of the German language and acquire knowledge of various branches of German law. After successful completion of the programme, students on a competitive basis receive an opportunity for inclusive education at the University of Passau.

Over 15 years of the programme, a large number of excellent specialists have been trained, both for scientific and practical jurisprudence. The graduates of the programme are peculiar not only due to the good command of the German language and knowledge of the two legal systems, but above all, due to the skills of intercultural communication, which are priceless in the global world.

The series of scientific events was opened by the Scientific and Methodical Round Table "Application of the Comparative Legal Method in Scientific Research". Comparative jurisprudence is one of the most important methods of modern legal science and, perhaps, the only way for legal scientists to enter the international scientific space. This method makes it possible to study national law from different points of view, and allows to find different solutions to the same social problem in different countries, choose the most successful ones and apply them. Leading German and Russian specialists in the field of comparative jurisprudence took part in the round table, which enabled the round table participants to get acquainted with the main trends in the development of comparative jurisprudence in Russia and Europe (Professor Dr. Dennis Solomon, Prof. Elena Gritsenko, Professor Dr. Uwe Kischel, Professor Dr.Valentina Komarova, Professor Dr. Lyudmila Vasilevskaya, Professor Dr. Tamara Shepel).

The central part of joint scientific events was the two-day International Conference "Implementation of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and the Decisions of the European Court of Human Rights in the National Legal System: the Experience of Russia and Germany". On the first day of the conference, the reports of leading Russian and German scientists on constitutional, international, civil, criminal and criminal procedural law were presented (Professor Dr. Hans-Georg Dederer, Professor Dr. Stefanie Schmahl, Associate Professor, PhD in Jurisprudence Valentina Tereskova, Professor Dr. Elena Gritsenko, Researcher Julia Haak, Professor Dr. Marten Breuer, Ph.D., Associate Professor, PhD Alexander Zezekalo, Ph.D., Associate Professor Inna Bogdanova, Professor Dr. Robert Esser, Professor PhD Tatyana Kondrasheva). On the second day, the alumni and participants of the DSG programme "German Law in German" (Ph.D., doctoral student Christian Kalin, master student Kristina Pylina, graduate student Klara Hertz, senior lecturer Anna Pushkina, master student Elizabeth Saponchik, master student Elena Andreichenko) presented their papers.

This issue of the Journal will allow the readers to get to know the main scientific results, which became possible due to the long-term and fruitful cooperation of the Law Institute of SibFU and the University of Passau.

Irina V. Shishko, Doctor of Law, Director of Law Institute of Siberian Federal University
