WOMEN'S RIGHTS

Abstract: The article talks about contemporary issues related to women.

Key words: Socio-political activities, the legitimate interests of women, active participation in socio-political life, socio-economic life.

Social and legal protection is a combination of political, ideological, economic, social and legal norms. One of the most important areas of social and legal protection is the protection of the rights and interests of women.

In my opinion, economics and politics have changed the system of public relations in our country and the place of women in it. Life has exposed the discrepancies between declarations and reality.

It seems to me that the crisis in the economy, the decline in real incomes, the growth of social and national conflicts, the political and ideological confrontation -all this has an extremely negative impact on the status of women, both in employment and in socio-political activities.

Therefore, the development of our society has many specific features that do not allow directly transfer the foreign experience of solving the female issue. But it seems appropriate to compare conceptual approaches, global trends in the status of women in society, which took place in the 70-80s. This is of practical importance, since the development of a market economy creates conditions close to those in which economically developed countries have gained experience in solving women's problems, including by legislative means.

In my opinion, it is necessary to recognize the equal importance of professional work, family and household functions, social and political activities, both for women and for men. And, based on an egalitarian concept, to form national programs that expand for women access to the sphere of professional and social activities, and for men - to the sphere of family and parenting. This approach is based on a high level of development of productive forces, democratic traditions, psychological attitude, legal culture, and, of course, the corresponding legal base is especially important.

It is believed that a woman by nature should give birth to children, bring them up and be the guardian of the hearth, but this is not necessary. I believe that one of the main issues to consider is:

1. Realization of the rights and interests of women.

2. Obligations of the state regarding women.

3. Realization of the political rights of women.

Despite the existence of a legal framework, there is no mechanism for implementing and monitoring the execution of legal documents on this issue. There is also no awareness-raising activity in the field of women's rights. Trade unions

took a passive position on this issue, and the media, in contrast to state policy, directly discriminate against women, exposing it as an object of sexual exploitation. This, among other reasons, contributes to an increase in violence against women, as well as an increase in crime in society.

Today, the labor rights of women on maternity leave are being violated. The legislative introduction of such a rule as parental leave, without being accompanied by a protective mechanism to preserve a job when leaving it, has become another factor of discrimination. The vitality of parental leave should be supported by a mechanism to maintain qualifications, as well as the payment of benefits in accordance with social standards.

In many countries, women and family entrepreneurship receive state support in the form of tax benefits, loan guarantees, leasing on special conditions, etc. Usually this applies to small and medium-sized businesses in the social sphere, the sphere of domestic services. Business incubators are created in educational institutions with the support of state or local authorities. The problem of youth employment, especially the female part, is everywhere quite acute, but there are examples of a positive solution to it.

In a number of economically developed countries there is a law "On equal rights and equal opportunities for women and men", which regulates the procedural and procedural aspects of the implementation of the principle of equality, and also establishes a procedure for monitoring the implementation of legislative norms in practice. So, in Sweden, the «Act on Equality between Men and Women» is in force, which regulates this problem in the field of labor. There is an ombudsman institution, as well as other options and mechanisms to prevent discrimination against women, up to and including appeals to the European Commission on Human Rights and the European Court of Human Rights.

At the same time, the intensive involvement of women in social production, the growth of their educational level, had a significant impact on the ability to realize a person in various fields, including socio-political. All this changed their needs, the spiritual world, forms of life, status in society, and was reflected in legal norms and legal culture. However, the situation of women was negatively affected by the absence of the rule of law, as well as the adoption of legislative acts not supported by material and financial support, for example, the decision to release women from hard work was not supported by the creation of jobs for them with favorable working conditions.
