The processes of meaning building act as adaptive mechanisms for the reaction of the experiencing individual to changes in the external and internal world. The building of personal meanings is based on a s meaning choice that reflects the preferences of the individual in the direction of his development. The mismatch and unevenness of the biological, mental and social development of a person can lead to an insufficient level of adaptation in the form of personality infantilism. Such immaturity of the personality may be associated with incomplete formation of the emotional-volitional sphere, due to the predominance of children's character traits, the influence of upbringing and relationships with parents. The reasons for personal infantilism are the constant acceleration of scientific and technological progress, cultural variability of society, unclear prospects for life development, high competition in the professional and social sphere. An infantile person experiences difficulties in terms of regulating his activities, lack of reflection, has gaps and deformations in moral selfregulation. This leads to shortcomings in the value- meaning, educational, legal, political, socio-economic, family spheres, in the field of vocational guidance and development. Such a passive adaptation of the s meaning sphere as an insufficient manifestation of the key personality traits in situational interactions reflects a hypoadaptive meaning strategy. Signs of a mature personality: competent professional work and independent development in the chosen field of activity, stable personal and family relationships, subjectivity in relations with parents in the form of territorial and economic independence, consistent development of the range of mental, social roles and transcendental roles in various social groups, the ability to personal selfdetermination of the experiencing subject in relations with other people.

Аннотация. Процессы смыслообразования выступают адаптивными механизмами реагирования переживающего индивида на перемены во внешнем и внутреннем мире. Образование личностных смыслов опирается на смысловой выбор, отражающий предпочтения личности в направлении своего развития. Рассогласование и неравномерность

биологического, психического и социального развития человека могут приводить к недостаточному уровню адаптивного приспособления в виде инфантильности его личности. Такая незрелость личности может быть связана с неполной сформированностью эмоционально-волевой сферой, обусловленной преобладанием детских черт характера, влиянием воспитания и отношениями с родителями. reflection, has gaps and deformations in moral self-regulation. This leads to shortcomings in the value-meaning, educational, legal, political, socio-economic, family spheres, in the field of vocational guidance and development. технического прогресса, культурная изменчивость общества, неясные перспективы жизненного развития, высокая конкуренция в профессиональной и социальной сфере. Инфантильная личность испытывает затруднения в плане регуляции своей деятельности, недостаточной рефлексии, имеет пробелы и деформации в нравственной саморегуляции. Это приводит к недостаткам в ценностно-смысловой, образовательной,

правовой, политической, социально-

экономической, семейной сфере, в области профессиональной ориентации и развития. Такое пассивное приспособление смысловой сферы как недостаточное проявление ключевых свойств личности в ситуационных взаимодействиях отражает гипоадаптивная смыслообразующая стратегия. Признаки зрелой личности: компетентная профессиональная работа и самостоятельное развитие в выбранной сфере деятельности, устойчивые личные и семейные отношения, субъектность в отношениях с родителями в виде территориальной и экономической независимости, последовательное освоение круга психических, общественных ролей и трансцендентных ролей в различных социальных группах, способность к личностному самоопределению переживающего субъекта в отношениях с другими людьми.

Introduction. To successfully counteract the uncertainty of the modern world, a person needs an adaptive response, which can provide the highest level of management of life processes -meaningful choice and the formation of personal meanings as strategies for meaning building [1]. In this regard, the study on the reactive choice of immutability is of interest, in which the adaptive personal choice is indicated as a passive adaptation of the meaning sphere [2]. This correlates with the hypoadaptive strategy of meaning building, as an insufficient manifestation of key personal properties in interactions [3]. The driven reactive character of the meaning choice is presented as the personality infantilism [2]. The purpose of the article is to analyze studies of the passive adaptation of the personality meaning sphere as a mechanism of adaptive behavior to identify the main psychological characteristics of such an infantile response in situational interactions.

Discussion. Infantilism of a personality is considered as a stage of development of a mature individual, which stopped at juvenile age [4]. At the same time, the heterochronism of personal development is indicated as the cause of personal infantility - the unevenness of the passage of development stages in the biological, mental and social terms. This is due to insufficient mastery of the means of cultural behavior based on linguistic and symbolic systems [5]. The biological, mental and social ages may not coincide, and their determination is carried out by objective correlation with the average statistical indicators for a given chronological age of the data [6].

Without considering the peculiarities of

infantilism of psychogenic origin, arising from dysontogenesis, it should be noted that its manifestation in terms of personal development is associated with the immaturity of the emotional-volitional structures of the personality [4]. The reasons for the infantilism of a person are presented by a wide range [4, 7]: the accelerating scientific and technological progress of society deforms the norms of human existence - instead of an internal goal aimed at becoming happy, an external goal is pursued - to become successful; cultural and historical variability accelerates the pace of life, deforms personal values and moral norms, changes the means of achieving life goals; an unclear picture of a future life enhances the influence of uncertainty on the life plans of both modern youth and older generations; a high level of requirements in the professional sphere and in the field of physical ability to work as high social competition in an aggressive social environment. In general, a wide range of signs of personality infantilism has been established, growing from the lack of formation of the emotional-volitional sphere: lack of independence in decision-making, a feeling of insecurity, low criticality towards oneself and high demands on others about taking care of oneself, different compensatory reactions, egocentric nature of actions, lack of independence behavior, undemanding attitude towards oneself and high criticality towards others, dependence on the opinions of others [4, 7].

The personal infantilism manifests usually in three aspects [8]:

1) regulatory infantilism, as a difficulty in planning one's activities, difficulty in self-

regulation of one's own motives and restraining emotional reactions;

2) reflexive infantilism, like lack of self-confidence, increased vulnerability to criticism, the desire to maintain a positive self-esteem at any cost;

3) moral infantilism, as insufficient moral self-regulation, neglection of social norms when they do not coincide with their interests, avoiding personal responsibility, increasing self-esteem and self-importance at the expense of others.

Under the influence of an infantile state, its

objective manifestations are formed in various

plans of a person's life:

1) in the value-meaning sphere - infantilism as the informality of life-meaning orientations and an external locus of control [1];

2) in the social sphere - infantilism in the form of deliberate ignorance of problems in life or its negative aspects, which leads to self-deception, avoiding difficulties and detachment from reality, undeveloped communication, avoidance of socially significant activities [9];

3) in the economic sphere - dependent and consumer position, search for quick benefits, hedonism, unjustified use of loans [10];

4) in the family sphere - avoiding responsibility

for the family and rejection of its values, unwillingness to give birth and raise children, the growth of divorces [8];

5) in the professional sphere - lack of interest in professional development, irresponsible attitude to their professional duties, striving for easy work, indifference in choosing a place of work [7];

6) in the educational sphere - belittling the value of the knowledge gained, passivity and inconsistency in the choice of the future profession and educational institution, rejection of the teacher's support [11].

Conclusion. Thus, the problems of personal infantilism are manifested wider than strictly psychological discourse, and this should be considered in the interdisciplinary sense of the meaning regulation of the experiencing individual. When viewed in a personal context, the category of infantilism appears to be a multifaceted construct and constitutes the central core of the organization of a hypoadaptive strategy. So, in our opinion, a hypoadaptive meaning-forming strategy is a way of forming causal images, based on formal preferences and aimed at passive attachment and guided movement in the layer of existing personal meanings, set by irresistible circumstances of life without their awareness.
