Every person has good dreams and hopes. Especially the dreams of young people growing up in a free and prosperous homeland, full of pure feelings in their hearts, are a world. The greatest of these dreams is to serve the parents and the country, to fulfill the duty of a child to them. To achieve this dream, a person must have a clear goal from childhood, acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and professions, and be physically and spiritually healthy and energetic. Because great dreams require great aspiration and effort, great strength. The feeling of love for the Motherland helps us all on this very difficult and complicated path. Love for the Motherland is the greatest feeling. That is why President Islam Karimov, thinking about the role of this feeling in human life, said: "The truth of history shows that only a person with national pride and love for the Motherland can do great things to strengthen students' love and devotion to the Motherland, to fulfill their childhood duty to the motherland with high responsibility, to expand their positive attitude to the Armed Forces, to raise the prestige of military service, are encouraged to do good deeds such as forming a physically healthy, spiritually mature, broad-minded, independent-minded person.
Indeed, if we look at history, we will see that the love for the motherland has given great strength, determination and courage to ordinary people and inspired them to unparalleled courage. Consider, for example, the well-known story of Shirak. Shirak is an ordinary shepherd. He has neither military weapons nor soldiers. Only in his heart he has an infinite love for his homeland. It is this great feeling that urges him to fight alone against countless beasts, armed to the teeth and clogged like a locust. Shirak knows in advance that he will die at the hands of the enemy. But he is well aware that, as mentioned above, the greatest goal is the freedom of the Motherland, an honorable death in the way of its protection, and that is why he chooses this path. Shirak will save many of his countrymen from death and slavery, and cities and villages from destruction and plunder. Another important aspect is that he proves through his heroism that an entire nation can never be defeated by oppression and aggression, and that his brave children will never allow it. Fearless and brave boys like Shirak have been in all the nations of the world at all times. Because the peaceful and serene life of any nation, its happiness depends on its brave and courageous children. Every parent, every nation in the world, while raising children with high hopes, wants them to grow up to be brave and courageous people who are able to defend their home and country. If we pay attention to the fairy tales, songs and epics of the peoples of the world, to the gods told by their mothers, we will be convinced that courage and heroism are the main themes. For example, the mythical heroes of the ancient Greek epics, such as the Indian Mahabharata and the Ramayana, such as Prometheus, Antey, Hercules, and the Odyssey, have long lived side by side with us. Courage and bravery are glorified in the person of such alpine heroes as Rustami Doston, Sukhrob, Siyavush, Jamshid, Bahrom, Farhod, who are common to all these peoples.
From ancient times the words "my lion", "my hero", "my giant" have been revered in the gods of our mothers. Courage and kindness are highest in our fairy tales such as "Three Brothers", "Semurg and Bunyod", "Tohir and Zuhra", in our epics such as "Alpomish", "Gorogly", "Kuntugmish". All this is due to the fact that it has always been the greatest and most sacred dream of our people to bring up their children as people who are not afraid of anything, who are capable of preserving their parents, family, honor and dignity of the people. Many of our ancestors, such as Tomaris, Alp Ertunga (Afrosiyob), Spitamen,
Jaloliddin Manguberdi, Amir Temur, who were brought up in this spirit, have repeatedly proved in history that our people are able to defend their land and their homeland with dignity, no doubt, serve as an example for us - the generations, who are the successors of the glorious traditions of such great beings, which they started and carried on for centuries. There is no one in the world who does not love his country, his bloody homeland, and longs for it when he leaves his homeland. The feeling of devotion and devotion in the human heart also comes from love for one's country.
Even the most beautiful buildings and structures in the world are the result of such a power of love, and they will forever stand as a symbol of devotion and devotion to the Motherland. In this regard, I do not want to write about thousands of years, but about the years of independence that have ensured our free and prosperous life.
That is, when the poet sings about his feelings for the Motherland in his poems, the builder rises from the ground and creates in each city and village a variety of buildings and structures that adorn the streets and alleys, beautiful parks. Teachers educate boys and girls who serve the country faithfully in various professions, doctors take care of the health of such people, and so on.
We have witnessed, seen and rejoiced in the years of independence. Our sons and daughters born during the years of independence are now very young. They work, study, create new inventions, raise the flag of Uzbekistan on the sports podiums and glorify the honor and dignity of the country. In Islam, patriotism is respect for one's homeland! So a Muslim loves his country! He works for his success, protects him, and when he is happy, he is happy, and when he is sad, he is sad. Man asked, "What has the homeland given me?" not "what have I done to my country?" should live with a high sense of belonging.
That is why when a person leaves his homeland, he misses it and misses it. This longing is inherited from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). It is known from the history of Islam that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) lived in Makkah until he was 53 years old. During this time, there was a lot of oppression, hostility and discrimination against him by the polytheists of Makkah. However, they did not leave their homeland. However, when the oppression of the polytheists of Makkah escalated to the point of committing suicide, they left Makkah by the command of Allah. When it was time to leave, they wept and were relieved to look at Mecca and say, "There is no city more beloved to me than you! If my people had not expelled me from you, I would not have taken a place other than you". Courage cannot be expected from a person who is not rooted in national pride and love for the Motherland. When will this pride and patriotism emerge? In the military, of course. In addition, the national army consists of real men and brave boys. In fact, maintaining the peace of our Motherland is the sacred duty not only of our soldiers and brave sons, but of all of us. Every year, January 14 is widely celebrated in our country as the Day of Defenders of the Motherland.
