Abstract. Delving into the world of English language and literature research is akin to exploring a vast and intricate tapestry. This article embarks on that journey, illuminating five key themes that ignite researchers' curiosity: language acquisition's mysteries, literary analysis' hidden secrets, historical contexts' impact, educational implications, and technology's transformative potential. However, the path is not without obstacles. We navigate five formidable challenges: data collection's complexities, interdisciplinary collaboration, publication hurdles, resource limitations, and the ever-evolving landscape. By fostering collaboration, prioritizing ethical practices, and embracing innovation, researchers can continue to illuminate the multifaceted nature of language and literature, ensuring this field remains a vibrant source of knowledge and discovery.

English language and literature education shall enhance the language skills of students. First of all, guide students to carry out a large number of reading practice to improve students' sense of language. In the process of English language and literature teaching, each teacher emphasizes the importance of language sense, but language training requires a lot of reading practice, which means students need to read and accumulate. Language Acquisition and Use: At the core of this field lies the captivating quest to understand how we acquire and utilize language. Researchers navigate the intricate pathways of first language acquisition, where children effortlessly absorb their native tongue, and the complexities of second language learning, where individuals grapple with mastering a new linguistic code. communication, exploring how language shapes and reflects identity, culture, and power dynamics.

for registration and their score. Among those registering as a doctor or nurse, a remarkable 92% achieved a score of 6 or more bands. In contrast, test-takers enrolled for short higher education courses (3 months or less) demonstrated a lower likelihood of reaching the same benchmark, with only 60% scoring 6 or more bands. [4]

This theme encompasses diverse areas like the impact of colonialism on language use, the representation of marginalized groups in literature,
and the evolution of language over time. There are many challenges that the teachers and the learners face in learning of English language and literature here. There are many factors that contribute to such learning challenges. In this case, the role of teachers as well as management is very essential. Teacher factor is always considered as very important as he/she is the one who is considered as the instrument of change. The issues which are directly related to pedagogy are more consequential than any other factors.[2]
Educational Implications: Connecting research to the classroom, scholars explore how theories and findings can inform language teaching practices and enhance student engagement with literature. They develop innovative curricula and assessment methods, ensuring the continued relevance of English language and literature education in a rapidly evolving world. This theme delves into areas like integrating technology into language learning, promoting critical thinking skills through literature, and fostering inclusive and equitable learning environments. In summary, although students have applied various leaning strategies and teachers have strived to conduct effective and interesting teaching method to achieve speaking capability, they keep facing obstacles in learning to speak English. It seems that the obstacles are mostly intrinsically. The problems are coming from the students themselves. Having lack of learning motivation and interest, lack of basic knowledge and vocabulary mastery, and lack of self-confident to speak. [3] The Impact of Technology: The digital age presents both challenges and opportunities for research in this field. Scholars explore the influence of technology on language use, literacy practices, and the dissemination of literature. They develop new tools and methodologies to facilitate research and engage audiences in innovative ways. This theme encompasses research on the impact of social media on language, the rise of digital storytelling, and the development of online language learning platforms.
Data Collection and Analysis: Obtaining reliable and representative data can be a formidable challenge, particularly in diverse linguistic and cultural contexts.
