DOLGOMA STRIOLA SP. NOV. - A NEW SPECIES OF LICHEN MOTHS FROM THE NANLING MOUNTAINS (GUANGDONG, CHINA) (LEPIDOPTERA, ARCTIIDAE: LITHOSIINAE)

Summary. A new species Dolgoma striola sp. nov., is described from the Nanling Mts., northern part of Guangdong, South China. The new species is distinguished by the forewing postdiscal row of small strokes, not spots. Male genitalia with short valves, the shortest in the genus; sacculus apex bulb-shaped, covered with minute spines. Резюме. В статье описывается новый вид Dolgoma striola sp. nov. из гор Наньлиня, северная часть южнокитайской провинции Гуандун. Новый вид характеризуется постдискальным рядом сверху передних крыльев, состоящим не из точек, а из коротких штрихов. Гениталии самцов отличаются от известных видов рода наиболее короткими вальвами; вершина саккулюса с округлым выступом, покрытым очень мелкими зубчиками.
Lithosiinae of the Nanling Mts., Guangdong, South China, are still poorly studied. Kishida [2011] published a list of lichen-moths species, and then a set of species was added to this list, including descriptions of new species and subspecies [Dubatolov, Kishida, Wang, 2012]. The present article contains a description of one more new species of the Litho-siinae genus Dolgoma Moore, 1878 that was collected in these mountains.
Dolgoma striola Dubatolov, Kishida et Wang, sp. nov. (col. pl. IV: 1)
Material: holotype - male, China, Guangdong, Shaoguan, Nanling, 5-8.08.2005, Y. Kishida leg. Deposited in South China Agricultural University, Guangdong. Paratype - 1 male, the same locality and data.
Description. Male forewing length 11 mm. Fore-wing bright yellow, dusted with diffuse brown dots and strokes. A group of brown dots situated beyond the discal cell in subbasal part of the wing, another is in the apical part of the discal cell. The postdiscal row of spots consists of short longitudinal strokes forming a straight row from the dorsal margin to the bifurcation of M2, M3 and Cut; short costal strokes of this row are presented in front from the discal cell.
A diffuse brownish submarginal spot is situated near the tornal angle. Hindwings light yellow. Head and thorax bright yellow, abdomen light yellow.
Male genitalia (col. pl. IV: 4) Uncus moderately wide, strongly narrowing at tip. Valves short, broad, wider at base than at apex. Cucullus apex rounded. Sacculus apex rounded, bulb-shaped, covered with very small spines. Juxta small, shield-like. Saccus broad, rhomboidal. Aedeagus short, straight, broad, vesica without cornuti.
Remarks. Only few species of Dolgoma Moore, 1878 (sensu Dubatolov & Zolotuhin, 2011) with known male genitalia have the round bulb at sac-culus apex covered with small spines: D. cribrata (Staudinger, 1887) (col. pl. IV: 2) from Amur Region, China, Korea and Japan, D. nigrocribrata Dubatolov, Kishida et Wang, 2012 (col. pl. IV: 3) from Nanling Mts., Guangdong, China, D. ovalis Fang, 2000 from Shaanxi, China, D. fukienica (Daniel, 1954) from Fu-jian, East China. Male genitalia structure of the type specimens of other species is unknown, like in D. reticulata (Moore, 1866) and D. angulifera (Felder, 1868) from Himalayas and Thailand, D. oblitterans (Felder, 1868) from India, Indochina and southern China, or have quite different sacculus apex structure (not like a round bulb): D. lucida (Fang, 2000) (fig. 3)
from Yunnan, China has a crescent-like sacculus apex, D. recta Cerny, 2009 (col. pl. IV: 7) from Thailand has two strong chaetas without a bulb on succulus apex.
Among the species with the round spiny bulb at sacculus apex, D. cribrata (Staudinger, 1887) (col. pl. IV: 5) has the ventral edge of valve convex subapi-cally, D. nigrocribrata Dubatolov, Kishida et Wang, 2012 (col. pl. 00: 6) and D. fukienica (Daniel, 1954) (fig. 2) have long valves. The only species with short valves, D. ovalis Fang, 2000 (Fig. 1) have different wing pattern similar to that of D. oblitterans (Felder, 1868), without obvious dark pattern on forewings. So, there are no known Dolgoma species similar to the new one.
Описание. Длина передних крыльев 11 мм. Передние крылья ярко-жёлтые, с размытыми коричневыми точками и пятнами. Группа коричневых точек расположена за центральной ячейкой в суббазальной части крыла, другая группа точек - в вершинной части центральной ячейки. Пост-дискальный ряд пятен состоит из серии коротких продольно вытянутых штрихов, образующих прямой ряд от заднего края крыла к развилке жилок M2, M3 и Cut; пара коротких штрихов расположена у костального края напротив дискальной жилки. Размытое коричневое субмаргинальное пятно расположено у торнального угла переднего крыла. Задние крылья светло-жёлтые. Голова и спинка ярко-жёлтые, брюшко - светло-жёлтое.
Гениталии самцов (цвет. табл. IV: 4). Ункус сравнительно широкий, сильно сужен на вершине. Вальвы короткие, широкие, в основании шире, чем у вершины. Вершина кукуллюса округлена. Вершина саккулюса также округлена, несёт округлый выступ, покрытый мелкими зубчиками. Юкста некрупная, щитовидная. Саккус широкий,
ромбовидной формы. Эдеагус короткий, прямой, везика без корнутусов.
Замечания по систематике. Только несколько видов рода Dolgoma Moore, 1878 с известным строением гениталий самцов имеют шаровидный отросток на вершине саккулюса, покрытый мелкими зубчиками: D. cribrata (Staudinger, 1887) (цвет. табл. IV: 2) из бассейна Амура, Китая, Кореи и Японии, D. nigrocribrata Dubatolov, Kishida et Wang, 2012 (цвет. табл. IV: 3) из гор Наньлиня, Гуандун, Китай, D. ovalis Fang, 2000 из Шэньси, Китай, D. fukienica (Daniel, 1954) из Фуцзяни, Китай. У нескольких видов рода строение гениталий типовых экземпляров неизвестно: D. reticulata (Moore, 1866) и D. angulifera (Felder, 1868) из Гималаев и Таиланда, D. oblitterans (Felder, 1868) из Шри Ланки, Индии, Индокитая и Южного Китая. У других видов строение вершины саккулюса совершенно иное (не в виде округлого выступа, покрытого шипиками): у D. lucida (Fang, 2000) (рис. 3) из Юньнани, Китай вершина суккулюса в виде серповидного отростка, у D. recta Cerny, 2009 (цвет. табл. IV: 7) из Таиланда на вершине сакку-люса две крупные хеты.
Среди видов с округлым выступом на вершине саккулюса, покрытым мелкими зубчиками, у D. cribrata (Staudinger, 1887) (цвет. табл. IV: 5) вентральный край вальвы сильно выпуклый перед вершиной, у D. nigrocribrata Dubatolov, Kishida et Wang, 2012 (цвет. табл. IV: 6) и D. fukienica (Daniel, 1954) (рис. 2) вальвы длинные. Только один вид рода имеет короткие вальвы, D. ovalis Fang, 2000 (рис. 1), но у него рисунок передних крыльев совершенно иной, похожий на D. oblitterans (Felder, 1868), без заметного тёмного рисунка на передних крыльях. Поэтому в настоящее время нет видов рода Dolgoma Moore,
которые были бы похожи на новый вид.
