Unlike foreign publications in the domestic economic literature when giving the definition of the concept of logistics the accent is made on scientific aspects. One of the most laconic, in our opinion, definitions of the given scientific direction says: the logistics is a scientific discipline about management of streams in systems. Despite of the brevity, defined nevertheless is too wide and comprehensive since in it is not specified, which streams, in what systems and with what purpose carry out managerial process.
We offer following definition. Logistics - the theory and practical activities on planning, organization, functional management and the control of processes of a set of material, financial, labor, legal and information streams movement over system of market economy [6,7,8]. References:

DIFFERENCE OF TRADITIONAL AND LOGISTICAL APPROACHES IN AN ENTERPRISE CYCLE

Article from the modern point of view examines the difference of traditional and logistical approaches in an enterprise cycle. Special attention is paid to its general and particular problems.

The logistical approach is a system approach to research of social and economic and man-machine [1, 2, 3, 4]. It is possible to speak about an essential difference of traditional and logistical approaches in an enterprise cycle (tab.1).

Earlier criterion function of this complex was guided by a minimum of costs in each of parts:
L(C) = min Cc + minCn + minCx + minCp + minCr, where Cc, Cn, Cx, Cp, Ct - costs accordingly on supply, manufacture, storage (warehousing), distribution, transportation.
Unlike such approach the logistical approach focusses on refusal of the isolated consideration of costs. On change has come the criterion of a minimum of the sum of the specified expenses, based on optimum value of each of composed:
L(C) = min (opt Cc + opt Cn + opt Cx + opt Cp + opt Ct) . Here we shall apply criterion of an optimality by Pareto which allows to check up, whether improves the offered decision on concrete object the general condition of system or not.
The given optimization is based on the certain set of starting positions:
• The initial logistical structure is considered as the complex system having a number of subsystems;
• Each subsystem possesses own criterion of an optimality reflecting its internal (immanent) interests;
• Functioning of structure represents process of interaction of these subsystems;
• Interaction of subsystems is carried out by means of special logistical system, i.e. is an economic interaction, which purpose is the best combination of interests of separate subsystems and systems as a whole.
