BIBLIOGRAPHIC ACTIVITIES OF LIBRARIES: POTENTIAL FOR INTERDISCIPLINARY WORK AND RESEARCH
Abstract. The article presents the purpose and objectives, methodology and technique, expected results of a study of bibliographic activities of Russian libraries. The study was initiated by the Section of Bibliography and Information and Bibliographic Services of the Russian Library Association. The relevance of this study is determined by the need to identify the state of bibliographic activities of Russian libraries and to translate valuable practices into the work of libraries and other institutions working with documents, information and users. The researchers will apply a variety of different methods and conduct the study in several stages, including the collection of empirical material, as well as theoretical generalization and approbation of the results obtained. At the initial stage, university libraries will be the central object of research. The article shows that determining the prospects of bibliographic activities of libraries and formulating proposals for solving existing and potential problems will be the most important results of the study.
The article is an invitation to the cooperation of all libraries of the world, who certainly have a diverse and valuable work experience. It is very interesting for us to see this experience, study it and apply it in the work of our own libraries. We will be happy to cooperate with librarians and promote their best forms of their activity, introduce the best experience into the education of fu-ture librarians.

The relevance of research
We have to notice and analyze the slightest changes in bibliographic activities in a timely manner today, in the age of digital technologies. We have to identify valuable practices for translation (with appropriate adaptation) to the professional community and extrapolation to the work of libraries and other institutions within the documenting and communication sphere working with documents, information and users. Of course, ideally, one should study bibliographic activities carried out by all institutions within the documenting and communication sphere, carried out by both professional bibliographers and non-professional subjects, collective and individual (scientists, writers, journalists, teachers, information analysts, publishing houses, book trade centers, etc.).
This will provide a vision of common ground and growth, interaction and an improved reader service. Specialists from various fields of knowledge and fields of activity are actively studying the possibilities of social networks in promoting books and reading (recommended bibliography), the forms of text recommendations by bloggers, the existence of texts as responses to what they have read in the formats of fandoms, fan fiction etc.: N. L. Zykhovskaya [1], T. D. Rubanova [2; 3], M. M. Samokhina [4], L. S. Yatsushkina [5-8], A. V. Solina [9], Iu. V. Gushul [10; 11], S. Tazhibaeva [11; 12] and others [see also 13-16]. As well as software for the automatic implementation of scientific, bibliometric, and other studies of the information space and its document flows. See, for example, the publications

Organization and methods of information work" and in others: very interesting, productive and important articles in the scientific journal "Bibliosphere" [17-24]. Taken together, the ongoing research in the field of documenting and communication can form a complete picture of bibliographic activity in Russia.
It is no longer just relevant, but has been topical for many years. Many bibliographers (but especially the Russian bibliographer I. G. Morgenstern) noted, and the words are still relevant today. We have no aggregate, consolidated knowledge, no one, including government agencies. The task of predicting the development of bibliography and its infrastructural component -bibliographic activity, as well as the professiogram of a digital bibliographer is still urgent, because we already see a revolutionary change in the technology of creating, storing and searching for bibliographic information, strengthening the technological stratification of the bibliographic community. Today we are witnessing the even more revolutionary presence of blockchain technologies, augmented reality, concordances, neural networks, cognitive maps, digital twins, artificial intelligence systems, intelligent data analysis systems, automatic text classification systems, etc. in bibliographic activities. That's why we need to study the bibliographic activities of libraries in Russia and the profession in all its aspects for effective management of bibliographic activities, you need to know its state, to develop a model of a bibliographer in the form of a professiogram and describe social, content and organizational requirements for him, the necessary psychological and physiological properties of the personality, contribute to raising the level of bibliographic activity.
Our suggestion
The study of the Section of Bibliography and Information and Bibliographic Services of
the Russian Library Association (the author is a member of the Standing Committee and active participant) at this stage will be extended to libraries. It will show what awaits the bibliographic activity of libraries in Russia, what is its real position and prospects, what are the possibilities of fighting for it and positioning, and also what transformations are impacting the profession of a bibliographer. Recreating a picture of the diverse bibliographic activities of libraries will provide a basis for searching for arguments for its qualitative positioning, forming a positive image.
In Russia in the sociological study "The Image of the Library of the Future", submitted for professional consideration, only four answer options were given to the bibliographic activities of the library in one question "What services <.. .> will be in demand?". The image of the library of the future, filled with bibliographic intellectual processes, almost fails to be translated even into professional consciousness. However, in the recently published "Atlas of New Professions 3.0", out of all library professions, the demand and mandatory presence in the future of the profession "5D Bibliographer" is predicted (moreover, the centuries-old formulation has been left, not changed to today's fashionable information resource manager / (information) tutor, etc.). The circle of application of professional forces includes the following expectations of the society: "designs and manages the knowledge environment, extracts units of information from texts and media, reassembles universal knowledge bases.", uses formal languages of human-machine communication, etc. [25, p. 268].
The industry experts who created the Rissian Atlas, today's users of bibliographic services, have confirmed their confidence in the unconditional demand for the future of the Information Curator, outlining his future duties (copied from today's) as follows: "satisfies information requests of any complexity", structures and selects , freeing information from information noise, depending on the intellectual, physical, etc.; level, capabilities and expectations of the user, etc. In fact, it is recognized and indicated to the professional community that professional actions with information (navigation, extraction, examination) will be further updated in the near future and in the future.
Research Methodology
The purpose of the study is to find out the state of the bibliographic activity of libraries in Russia.
Research objectives: to get a picture of the bibliographic activities of libraries in Russia; analyze the state of bibliographic activities of libraries and offer recommendations for its improvement; present the state of the bibliographic community of Russian libraries; identify prospects for the bibliographic activities of libraries and the profession of a bibliographer; to form a body of arguments for positioning the bibliographic activities of libraries at all levels of government and public administration.
Research methods to obtain experimental data:
- face-to-face (direct contact with respondents) and remote surveys (sending by e-mail to a specific addressee in accordance with the specified sampling parameters, and filling in the questionnaire by respondents using a link to a Google form) - will clearly highlight positive practices for replicating the best experience of bibliographic work, the range and the possibility of uniting bibliographic resources, the point of contact between bibliographers and bibliographic services of libraries, regardless of their type and type, as well as to identify problems in order to find solutions to overcome them;
- interviewing (of various types) - will provide clarification of the data received;
- focus group discussions at professional events (as an additional method of data collection);
- observation - to crystallise practices and convince them of their effectiveness
- visualization of the revealed information and the experience of libraries - to achieve the visibility of the data obtained;
- monitoring and analysis of library sites -to identify implicit and explicit components of professional thinking of bibliographers;
- study of library documentation - to confirm experimental data, personal opinion expressed in questionnaires and interviews;
- study of professional literature - to supplement the revealed data, orientation in the conducted studies and the results obtained.
Research methods in order to obtain inference theoretical knowledge:
- comparative analysis of the bibliographic activity of different strata of the same type of libraries;
- the synergistic method will reveal new facets of the bibliographic activities of Russian libraries in the digital age, on the way to the knowledge society;
- the variable method will ensure the identification and comparative evaluation of various trends and development opportunities, the transformation of the bibliographic activities of libraries in the present and in the future;
- a predictive method - in order to identify growth points for the bibliographic activities of libraries and its status, prospects in the digital world;
- Structural-functional method with the aim of identifying bibliographic services in the bibliographic activities of libraries as active structural units, their functions, determining the functional relationship within the bibliographic service of the library, region, between the bibliographic services of different libraries;
- a system-information method for determining the system-forming links and relationships of the bibliographic services of libraries and their bibliographic activities, revealing the nature, direction and specifics of transformational changes in bibliographic activities in the digital age, considering the involvement of bibliographic activities in all processes of library work, in the formation of the image of the library in the digital age;
- expert methods for evaluating the results obtained.
The communique concludes with a call for international librarian society
Expected results of the study:
- providing the library community with a clear, holistic picture of the bibliographic activities of libraries in Russia;
- identification of the best practices of bibliographic activity, their description, preparation of guidelines for replication;
- formulation of proposals for solving the problems of information and bibliographic activities of libraries in Russia;
- vision of the prospects for the bibliographic activities of libraries and the creation of a solid empirical base for modeling specific areas of development and demand for libraries with their intellectual, knowledge-bibliographic support for

the professional activities of users based on the use of information and analytical technologies for processing texts of any nature, working with big data and digital technologies in all their manifestations;
- providing the bibliographic community and the Russian Library Association with weighty arguments for positioning the bibliographic activities of libraries at all state, administrative and public levels, primarily the inclusion of indicators of bibliographic activities in the library's reporting documents;
- vision of directions for transforming the profession of a bibliographer in the age of digital technologies, formulating a professional order in the field of professional education, as well as other scientific and practical results.
Thus, presenting here the study of the Section of Bibliography and Information and Bibliographic Services, we call on the bibliographic community to examine the idea, the mechanisms for its implementation, discuss the tools and forms of joint work, and look forward to feedback and suggestions. We will be happy to work with all interested libraries that choose the most relevant form of participation in the study: the center of the regional / district / city survey, regional coordinator, expert or organizer of a survey among libraries of a particular type. In the unity of efforts is our future.

Исследование библиографической деятельности библиотек: потенциал междисциплинарной работы
Аннотация. В дайджесте представлены цель и задачи, методология и методика, ожидаемые результаты исследования библиографической деятельности библиотек России, инициированного секцией Библиографии и информационно-библиографического обслуживания Российской библиотечной ассоциации. Актуальность подобного исследования определена необходимостью выявления состояния библиографической деятельности библиотек России и трансляции ценных практик в работу библиотек и других учреждений, связанных с документом, информацией и пользователем.
Показано, что в век цифровых технологий актуально своевременно замечать и анализировать малейшие изменения в библиографической деятельности, на основе чего выявлять ценные практики - для трансляции (при соответствующей адаптации) в профессиональное сообщество и экстраполяции в работу библиотек и других учреждений документно-коммуникационной сферы, работающих с документом, информацией и пользователем; проблемы - для общего разрешения; возможности - для поддержки де-
ятельности. Определено, что следует исследовать библиографическую деятельность, осуществляемую всеми институтами документно-коммуникационной сферы, реализуемую как профессиональными библиографами, так и непрофессиональными коллективными и индивидуальными (учеными, писателями, журналистами, учителями, информационными аналитиками, издательствами, центрами книжной торговли и др.) субъектами. Это даст видение точек соприкосновения и роста, взаимодействия и улучшения обслуживания читателей. Тем более, что специалисты из разных областей знания и сфер деятельности активно изучают возможности социальных сетей в продвижении книги и чтения (рекомендательной библиографии), формы рекомендации текстов блогерами, бытования текстов как откликов на прочитанное в форматах фандомов, фанфиков, фанфикшн и проч. Также активизировано описание возможностей программного обеспечения для автоматического осуществления науко-, библиометрических и др. исследований информационного пространства и его документных потоков, зарубежные коллеги выходят в российское профессиональное пространство с описанием собственного опыта работы (журналы «Научно-техническая информация. Серия 2 «Информационные процессы и системы», «Библиосфера»). Взятые в единении ведущиеся в документно-коммуникационной сфере исследования могут сформировать целостную картину библиографической деятельности в России.
Исследование предложено Секцией библиографии и информационно-библиографического обслуживания Российской библиотечной ассоциации, автор статьи является членом Постоянного комитета этой секции. Оно покажет реальное положение библиографической деятельности библиотек России, какие трансформации претерпевает профессия библиографа и проч. Воссоздание картины разноплановой библиографической деятельности библиотек обеспечит базу для поиска аргументов ее качественного позиционирования, формирования положительного имиджа. В недавно опубликованном «Атласе новых профессий 3.0» из всех ныне библиотечных спрогнозирована востребованность и обязательное присутствие в будущем именно профессий «Библиограф 5D», «Информационный куратор», зафиксировано, что профессиональные действия с информацией (навигация, экстрагирование, экспертиза) будут еще более актуализированы в ближайшее время и, безусловно, в будущем.
Предложены и охарактеризованы разные методы исследования как по сбору эмпирического материала, так и по теоретическому обобщению и апробации получаемых результатов (мониторинг, метод фокус-групп, сравнительный анализ, структурно-функциональный, системно-информационный, синерге-тический и др. методы и т. п.). Важнейшими результатами исследования станут определение перспектив библиографической деятельности библиотек и формулирование предложений по решению существующих и потенциальных проблем, предоставление библиотечному сообществу четкой, целостной картины библиографической деятельности библиотек России, установление лучших практик библиографической деятельности, их описание, подготовка методических рекомендаций по тиражированию и др.
Дайджест является приглашением к сотрудничеству всех библиотек мира, безусловно, имеющих разнообразный и ценный опыт работы. Нам очень интересно увидеть этот опыт, изучить его и применить в работе собственных библиотек. Мы будем рады сотрудничать с библиотекарями и продвигать лучшие их формы деятельности, внедрять лучший опыт в образование будущих библиотекарей. Ждем отзывы и предложения.
