The ground pumps in which the processing plants are equipped do not meet modern requirements in terms of reliability, energy intensity, and the possibility of regulating operating parameters. The service life of individual parts of the pump - the armored disk, the impeller, does not exceed 20-25 days of operation, therefore, the study of the processes of mechanical and cavitation wear, as well as the phenomenon of dynamic vibration of worn parts of the impeller, and, based on them, the development of a new design of ground pumps is an urgent task.

During the operation of the pump, the parts gradually wear out, as a result of which the operational characteristics also change. The wear of the elements of the flow part of the pump leads to a change in the characteristics of the pump.

The parts that have contact with the pulp are subject to the greatest wear. Quick-wearing parts can be divided into two groups: a) parts whose wear affects the characteristics of the pump, the impeller, the sealing parts from the side of the entrance to the wheel; b) parts whose wear does not affect the characteristics: the outlet, the suction pipe, the armored disk from the side of the drive wheel. At the same time, the flow conditions of the blades deteriorate, as a result of which, in addition to the deterioration of cavitation qualities, additional hydraulic losses occur in the channels, which leads to a decrease in pressure [1].

With the wear of the pump, mechanical losses also increase. Due to the increase in leaks, the flow regime in the area between the machine wheel and the body changes, which can cause a significant increase in disc friction losses. In addition, the inevitable unevenness of wheel wear can cause imbalance, which, in turn, leads to the destruction of bearings, unilateral wear of the shaft and causes intense vibrations that reduce the mechanical efficiency of the pump.

The hydroabrasive mixture is a technological medium when drilling wells, transporting minerals in the mining, metallurgical industry, and mining.

It is proposed to apply fundamentally new approaches to significantly reduce the wear of the conveying devices of waterjet mixtures:

- create a vibration effect on the transporting device;

- create a vibration effect directly on the mixture being moved.

The vibration effect on the mixture causes a significant decrease in the viscosity of the mixture, disrupts the connections between the particles of the mixture and sharply reduces the contact interaction of the particles of the mixture with the working bodies and bodies of the conveying devices. As a result, the abrasive wear of the conveying devices is reduced many times. Accordingly, the resource of transporting devices (pumps) increases [2].

The reliability indicators of ground pumps during normal operation were analyzed according to the data of mining and processing plants and the nature of the manifestation of defects was established, which were systematized and reduced to three main types of malfunctions: defects in the attachment of the pumping unit; defects of mechanical nature; defects of hydrodynamic origin.

Thus, in order to assess the general technical condition according to the mean-square value of vibration velocity, conduct an in-depth analysis of the technical condition of the equipment, determine the causes of vibration growth, identify defects in pumping units and eliminate them, it is necessary to apply vibration diagnostics methods, which will increase the reliability of operation of pumping units.
