CoDeSys is a complete development environment for programmable logic control PLCs with the advantages of openness, flexibility, power and portability. This paper introduces the application features of the CoDeSys software and the embedded soft PLC technology respectively. The CoDeSys hierarchical architecture and the application of visualization features, the advantages of embedded systems and soft PLC technology are described in detail. Then a complete embedded soft PLC system is designed by combining CoDeSys as the upper computer development system with the real-time operation system.

ПРЕИМУЩЕСТВА СОЗДАНИЯ ЗАЩИЩЕННЫХ СИСТЕМ С ПОМОЩЬЮ ПРОГРАММНОГО ПАКЕТА «CODESYS»

CoDeSysэто полноценная среда разработки для ПЛК с программируемым логическим управлением, обла-дающая преимуществами открытости, гибкости, мощности и портативности. В данной статье представлены особенности применения программного обеспечения CoDeSys и технологии встроенного программного ПЛК соответственно. Подробно описаны иерархическая архитектура CoDeSys и применение функций визуализации, преимущества встраиваемых систем и технологии программного ПЛК. Затем разрабатывается полная встро-енная программная система ПЛК путем объединения CoDeSys в качестве системы разработки верхнего уровня с операционной системой реального времени.

ABSTRACT

CoDeSys is a complete development environment for programmable logic control PLCs with the advantages of openness, flexibility, power and portability. This paper introduces the application features of the CoDeSys software and the embedded soft PLC technology respectively. The CoDeSys hierarchical architecture and the application of visualization features, the advantages of embedded systems and soft PLC technology are described in detail. Then a complete embedded soft PLC system is designed by combining CoDeSys as the upper computer development system with the real-time operation system.

АННОТАЦИЯ

CoDeSys- это полноценная среда разработки для ПЛК с программируемым логическим управлением, обладающая преимуществами открытости, гибкости, мощности и портативности. В данной статье представлены особенности применения программного обеспечения CoDeSys и технологии встроенного программного ПЛК соответственно. Подробно описаны иерархическая архитектура CoDeSys и применение функций визуализации, преимущества встраиваемых систем и технологии программного ПЛК. Затем разрабатывается полная встроенная программная система ПЛК путем объединения CoDeSys в качестве системы разработки верхнего уровня с операционной системой реального времени.

Introduction

As we know, special languages specified in international standard IEC 61131-3 are used for programming programmable logic controllers. They are easy and convenient to use as they are not intended for special professionals. Previously, such software could only be used by the manufacturer, but now it has become one of the commercial types.

In the field of microelectronics, it is not an easy task to create fully competitive and, moreover, software environments with a modern interface. It, in turn, requires economic and social resources. In the last decade, universal equipment compatible with any hardware platform appeared on the world market [1].

Methods

The basis of the European markets is occupied by the CoDeSys software package belonging to the company

3S-Smart Software Solutions GmbH. By 2017, more than 400,000 companies used it.

CoDeSys is in high demand as it takes a lot of money and time to adapt. With this in mind, the question may arise, that is, the time, money, adaptations, etc., when using it in embedded systems. (I/O module drivers) is the time taken satisfactory?

We can say that it is completely satisfactory, because the complex programming processes and their writing into the system, checking are all embodied [4].

Results

At CoDeSys, the programmer works at the top level, which means that the work process is carried out quickly and qualitatively. This process is carried out as a result of practical programming and precise distribution of the system level. (Figure 1)

CoDeSys has a special system library that enables access to the operating system. For example, if the CoDeSys execution system is designed for QNX, it is not limited to the multi-task IEC model, but it is possible to dynamically create a task using all the capabilities of the operating system. In IEC combinations, the program is used as one of the issues, while in CoDeSys, the entire project is implemented in one environment. Among the above-mentioned opportunities, CoDeSys has not only software created for embedded systems, but also their implementation and monitoring capabilities. This, in turn, frees up highly paid professionals and increases the quality of work [2].

In CoDeSys, it is possible to monitor the operation of telecommunication network elements in the network and thereby obtain the necessary information, in addition, we can create a program for the status table of telecommunication systems, as a result, we can monitor the execution status of system software devices and system programs that ensure the quality of work. The created program starts managing the required elements [3].

CoDeSys has not only program creation but also modeling capabilities [2]. There is a graphic editor in the

program environment, which makes it possible to draw schemes using graphic elements. (Figure 2)

Each scheme has its own collection of elements, and it is possible to monitor the work process by specifying their parameters. The elements include simple (drawing, rectangle, etc.) complex elements (scale, histogram, etc.) and special tables for emergency situations [6].

Elements are interactive, with the help of which data can be entered from a keyboard, touchpad or keyboard. Another attractive aspect of CoDeSys is that all calculations are done in the controller. Based on CoDeSys special components, visualization can be performed in Web browsers when connected to controllers [8].

Conclusion

In conclusion, it should be noted that CoDeSys is one of the available software environments in programming technologies, because it has its convenience, easy-to-understand devices, the availability of a graphical interface, modeling, designating and monitoring components of circuit elements, and installing programs on real devices in one environment.
