Women have an important place in every society. It is impossible not to see the interest between the society's philosophy of life, morality and family understanding, point of view and the type of woman. There are always women who have made a great contribution to the development of a society. Poetry by females gives a unique lens for examining history through women's voices and perspectives. Women saw the events around them, and they felt the impact of the decisions made by those in power. The uzbek poetess Zulfiyakhanim and the Turkish Cypriot poetess Pembe Marmara are the two of such influential women in society. Therefore, the objective of this paper is to analyze prior studies and review the lives of these two leading women in two different yet similar societies.

Introduction

The development of any state and society is based on a number of factors. In this process, the issue of women, their participation in social and political relations, the fact that their rights and freedoms are ensured in practice is considered an important index of the development of states and democracy. In fact, a woman and her role in the life of society have always been an important criterion.

Zulfiya Israilova is a famous and talented Uzbek poetess. A bright artist, a woman who keenly felt the heart of an ordinary person - a hardworking woman who valiantly fought for the equal rights of Eastern women in society.

The influence of Zulfiyakhanim The influence of Zulfiya's poetry is a true expression of our luxurious and complex era, its originality, and a bright image of the hearts and actions of our contemporaries.

In 1932, when she was 17 years old, her first poetry collection called "Pages of Life" was published. These were poems about youth, friendship, and the beauty of the human heart. Later, her poems, epics and short stories were recognized and published in the form of separate books in various publications. Since 1938, she has been working in various large publishing houses, becoming a member of various organizations within and between republics.

During the hard war years, Zulfiya's talent fully developed and became very bright: in her poems, the voice of a patriot resounded, and those who are fighting for the independence of the Motherland with arms in hand, behind the daily deep struggle, with hard work, the front with all the necessary things. one can feel the lyrical warmth towards those who provide it. In the poem "Uni Farhod derdilar" expresses hatred towards the rebellious Nazis and confidence in victory. The call to fight against the enemy is connected with a mother's song about a soldier-son, a brave front-line soldier who misses his wife and mother, and a sad concern of a woman who grieves for her husband.

Her love for her motherland, the highest feeling of patriotism, combined with faith in the happy end of military battles, is not only the thoughts of Zulfiya's poetic soul, but also a national verb characteristic of the nature of the Uzbek people.

Zulfiyakhanim was a poetess with a special place in Uzbek poetry, and as a person, she was a woman with all the noble qualities of this nation. No matter how many conflicting, arduous and complicated paths Uzbek literature has traveled in the 20th century, a number of literal creators have emerged in it, and Zulfiyakhanim is one of the bright faces among them. Zulfiyakhanim's life and work are an example for all women. After all, her hard work in life, her constant striving for progress, her faithfulness in love, her unceasing pursuit of artistic creativity, her persistence in life's difficulties, and the fact that she does not lose herself in the face of achievements, rise admiration in the heart of any woman.

The influence of Pembe Marmara Pembe Marmara is one of the first and most important poets of the 1940s. She was among the four pioneering women of poetry, known as "Syllabic Poets" and "Female Poets". A Cypriot element from this group, also known as the "40 Generation Poets", is most felt in the Pembe

Marmara poetry. She began to make a name for herself after her poems were published in Demet I and Demet II with the encouragement of Poetry Elite and Nihat Sami Banarli, her poems began to be published in Turkey, especially in Yedigun magazine.

At first, she chose to feign madness and make fun of them in order to escape from the rules and social values that she could not internalize, but over time, it seems that she moved away from society and crowded groups and began to observe individuals and lonesome people. And her cunning and wise attitude in life finally disappeared with the pain she encountered in her life. At the time of her death, the poetess had become estranged from even her closest friends and family.

§ikayetlerim I Dogdum Anam Babam

Karde§lerim olduler Belki yuzum guler diye Sevdim

Sevdigimi elimden aldilar ... [My Complaints I I was born My mother My father

My brothers are dead Maybe to make myself smile I loved

They took the one I lovedfrom me...]

There were emotional elements in her poems, ranging from love to fear and pain, but the sensitivity in her poems could always be felt. Ben deliyim Haberiniz varmi? Ben deliyim! inaniniz dostlar Ben deliyim!

Deli olmasam ya§ayamam Ne onun kara gozu

Ne da tatli canim igin ya^iyorum

Ben deliyim! Ben deliyim!

[I'm mad

Do you have any idea?

I'm mad!

Believe me friends

I'm mad!

I can't live if I'm not mad

Neither of his dark eyes

Neither of my sweet soul I live for

I'm mad! I'm mad!]

There might be a question about what makes Pembe Marmara special. If someone asked to summarize Pembe Marmara's life, one would say that she was strong, shy but brave. It is possible to find traces of her life in his works, which is something very few writers and poets can achieve. Maybe she wasn't fully aware of it, but with her intuition and poetry the poetess was trying to eliminate the taboos brought about by the weaknesses of society and its people. She was among the pioneers of the opposition against the 'idolization culture' that dominated the country. She was the kind of woman who, in the privacy of her own emotional world, would not hesitate to destroy any emotional idol that might arise because of her or otherwise.

According to Tamer Oncül, who described Marmara as "one of the most qualified poets of the period", Marmara was inspired by other "romantic syllabists" and the leading Turkish Cypriot poets of his period, who wrote in the nationalist publication £ig, the Garip movement and Nazim Hikmet. He stayed away from those who wrote ironic and satirical poems on social issues in free verse. ilknur Onol Ya§ar claims that she was influenced by Dante Alighieri in Marmara's view of life and death with the line "There will be a journey beyond this world" in her poem Yolculuk [Journey], written in 1951.

Marmara has only one book, Pembe Marmara Poems, which consists of her poems after 1945, and was published by her sister in 1986, after her death. Marmara's work was praised by Turkish literary historian Nihat Sami Banarli. On poetry, Marmara himself said, "Poetry is poetry only when it bathes our soul in the rain of meaning and emotion. I do not distinguish between rhyming or free verse poems, but I am a bit conservative. I look for emotion, meaning and music in poetry." As a matter of fact, on the Women's Day organized jointly by Famagusta Municipality and Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Women's Research Center on 8

March 2007, on the occasion of "Keeping the Memory of Pembe Marmara Alive", Pembe Marmara's portrait was featured in the Cyprus Books corner of EMU Library.

Conclusion

The womankind has passed through many centuries and civilizations. With the development of civilizations, women, who have become aware of their rights and found their personality in society, have become successful in the field of art, as in other fields: "To the extent that women have gained their social rights in the historical process, they have the opportunity to reveal their assets more in art, as in other areas of life. They found that the struggle of women to transition from slavery to being an individual in different cultures. It cannot be denied that this effort has lasted for centuries and that this effort continues today.

Women are creative beings and their success in the field of art has been proven. It has been observed that female poets are quite successful in society. Especially in the art of poetry, their success is undeniable. It can be seen that the place of women is not different in the Uzbek and the Turkish Cypriot Community. It should not be forgotten that women's place and position in society also supports their position in art. As in other fields, women's existence in the poetry depends on their existence in society. In this respect, the place of women in poetry cannot be considered separately from the issue of women's place in society. The poetesses, such as Zulfiyakhanim and Pembe Marmara are considered quite influential in their communities and their contributions can be an example to generations of women in any period of time.
